What Makes an Army Leader Pe

...1. Clearly define the ethical problem. a. The ethical problem is weather I should do the “right” thing and report SFC Sharp. Who I understand to be an all around good leader. For a possible security breach without talking to SFC Sharp first to get all the facts straight. 2. Employ applicable laws and regulations. a. Every unit should have an SOP for dealing with the handling of secret material. I would check the SOP first and see what AR’s apply then go from there. 3. Reflect on the ethical values and their ramifications. a. The Army values that I find applicable to this situation are duty, loyalty, Integrity, and respect. I will take time to reflect on each of these values as I feel they apply. Duty: I believe that it is my duty to do the right thing here and gather all the facts of the situation from all parties involved. Before developing a course of action that may hinder the careers of both myself and SFC Sharp. Loyalty: My loyalties are both with my unit and the NCO corp. I feel I need to do what’s best for both. Integrity: If I do not take the time and develop the best COA for this situation. My character as an NCO will be compromised. Respect: Knowing that SFC Sharp is a good NCO I owe it to him to discuss this matter with him personally before taking it to higher. Because it may have been a simple mistake. One that may not have to jeopardize his career if it is handled internally first. 4. Consider the applicable morale......

...operational research should be conducted to identify and test other promising safe motherhood interventions, in particular interventions designed to reduce the important proportion of maternal mortality associated with unsafe termination of pregnancy. INTRODUCTION It is estimated that 150,000 African women die each year from causes related to pregnancy and childbearing, and that the lifetime risk of dying from maternal causes for African women is in the order of one in twenty five(1). Numerous descriptive epidemiology studies have documented levels and immediate causes of maternal mortality in various African settings(1), and for more than a decade there has been strong international consensus that these high mortality rates must be reduced(2). But which interventions are likely to bring about this result? Which interventions have been tested; which have been effective? This article seeks to address these questions by reviewing published studies which examined the impact of safe motherhood interventions conducted in African settings. It outlines the search strategy used to identify the studies, gives an overview of the study designs and outcome measures, and describes the main findings. In a final section, recommendations are made based on the findings of the review. MATERIALS AND METHODS The initial source for the review was the Medline index for the years 1988 to 1999 when this review was conducted. A search using the terms “maternal mortality” and “Africa” yielded......

... Writing Style Writing is a process that take practice to perfect. Like everybody, my writing has it's srenghths and weaknesses. In order to understand your writing strenghts and weaknesses, you must know your learning style.Knowing your learning style can help you learn how you think, how you work and how you write. My writing characteristics are independent, rational and concrete are my three best writing strenghths, here is three reasons why i agree. .According to my results i am a independent writer, willing to spend time thinking about a topic then able to pull ideas together easily. I have to agree, i take the term "writing is a process" seriously becuause i know it takes time to reach a destination as far as a paper is concerned.i save all my drafts which helps me see the differenece between my first draft and my final draft. Seeing that difference strenghths my reslove to spend writing one step at a time to pull together ideas.I particularly spend a lot of time on planning my piece. Planning involves deciding how I am going to organize my essay, how I am going to deliver it, and recognizing the expectations of the reader. For example, while writing my first essay on gun violence, I acknowledged that one of things I need to do is to make sure my professor doesn't fall asleep at 3 in the morning by adding subtle humor and personal examples; other than the typical responsibilities of writing an essay. My second writing strenght is rational...

...Writing Styles Pauline Gilmore June 20, 2011 EDU 623 Dr. Norman Rose My writing style has been describe by my family and friends as middle school level. I have tried very hard to work on it. It has been one of the reasons it took me so long to pursue my graduate degree. I knew my writing was not up to par for a graduate student. I tend to write the way I speak and my grammar is worst than my eight year old sons. I can use the fact that english is not my first language, but I honestly think, I have been so used to speaking and writing in slang so much it is hard for me not to now. I knew I had to start correcting myself and be more mindful of my grammar and language once I started teaching. It is still a work in progress, I try to usually keep my messages to the parents short and simple. I also write in cursive, that way when I misspell a word it is harder to see. My research skills has not been any better. I am still learning how to cite my citations. I cannot tell the difference between MLA and APA format. I tend to have a hard time putting what I need into my own words and summarizing. I do not like writing papers, but it is unavoidable in graduate school. After reviewing the research guides and completing the avoiding plagiarism tutorial I now have a little bit of a guide to follow. My strength has always been my ability to take notes. I love to write, I tend to have a hard time summarizing, so I write everything done. When I am doing a......

...Isaiah J. O'Brien Professor Juskuv Intro to Academic Writing 25 January 2015 When it comes to writing for a class I am usually good at it. I have a very good sense on how to write and what I would like to get out onto the paper. I usually like to write about personal experiences either the good or the bad. I feel like when I write from the heart or personally its easier for the reader to connect with the writer. Especially if the reader has the same feelings toward the subject. I find that through my writing I can express myself and my ideas. I have written a couple of essays that have pertained to sports, school or even just everyday life. I feel like if you want to be great you have to go out and get it. It doesn’t just come to you. When I was younger I used to write a lot of poetry because it was a cool way to express your feelings. I was really good at it and from there on I excelled in writing courses and have a good grasp on how to write and what to write about. It is a cool feeling when you can just write about whatever and know that it’s a reality. I really enjoy when people read them too and feedback is given because it makes me better. Everyone could always use some advice and the more people you show it to the better you can get. I really would like to learn how to cut down on grammar mistakes in my writing. It seems that spelling and grammar is always my biggest problems in my writing. My writing would make sense but little errors here and there do......
