Demonstrative Communication Paper

Communication is a form of passing information from one person to the next and from one place to another by acknowledging the sender’s intent, comprehending the context of the message, and acting upon it to be able to create a shared understanding! Communication starts with the sender, who must format the message clearly and correctly, by using proper grammar, punctuation, noun sequencing, and syntax. This is a very important step for the sender because if the sender speaks too fast or too slow, his/her speech is garbled, or he/she mixes up their words, then this affects whether the message was delivered clearly or not. The message in itself has to be coherent and understandable because if not the medium in which a message is transmitted may become faulty. There is a few ways this can happen, such as information written on paper is not going to be effectively communicated if the ink is smeared, transmission from a video can be unclear and/or shaky, visual and audio communication can be disrupted by simple noise, and distractions from the message medium could be also due to distractions from our environment, such as a hot or cold room, loud music and/or sounds, and other people talking loudly. In regards to communication, there are four types of communication which are verbal (spoken communication), non-verbal communication, written communication, and visualization communication. Verbal communication involves using words by face to face communication or through other gadgets of communication, such as a telephone, cell phone, radio, television, and online video chatting. Non-verbal communication is the opposite and involves body language, facial expressions, and signs to communicate, not words! Written communication involves…...

Business communication can be defined as promoting or representing a service or product relaying information within a business or in my case a household/family. There are three communication trends that can be used on a daily basis at work deal with personal contact, establishing clarity and giving meaningful feedback. At the present time I am a stay at home mom and student and business communication can be associated with a number of things such as I have to keep my household running and peacefully. An example of such would be that I am on the phone making sure that bills get paid or I am on the internet or emailing for school both are promoting my education and representing my happy home. It is believed that if there is no communication there will be issues within a home or a business. Also I have to make reports of all activities in the household and what bills were paid monthly. If business communication does not take place then my home will be in total chaos as well as any business that uses business communication. In day to day business managers have to communicate with employees and their superiors about goals and targets. It is also used to persuade consumers to purchase merchandise and for employees to charge consumers for the sale. Service and information is generated and distributed by communication. ...RUNNING HEAD: BUSINESS COMMUNICATION TRENDS Business Communication Trends Paper By: Amanda Dojlidko University of Phoenix October 5, 2009 In the retail environment, we need business communication skills in dealing with day-to-day tasks, working with customers one on one and working with co workers. At The Walking Company, my job title is store manager. This title requires me to excel in business communication in order to thrive and excel as a manager as well as to keep the store afloat. Everyday, I am communicating with my associates, talking with my customers, and keeping up virtually with the corporate offices on special events and marketing strategies to bring in sales and revenue. Without business communication, my job would be obsolete and I would struggle to make the sales that I am able to get for my company. In any retail job, one of the most important aspects of the job is communicating with customers. Communication is at the center of the focus on quality and customers’ needs. Customer satisfaction among American consumers is on the rise. The trend has a real payoff for businesses; higher levels of the American Customer Satisfaction Index are associated with stronger sales. To break it down, high customer service will lead to higher sales. (Locker & Kienzler 2008) This means that excellent customer service is the key to higher sales and having the company thrive and survive during a time where money is tight and customers are frugal. ...

As a Union Carpenter communication is the key to starting the job and finishing the job correctly. The Foreman on the jobsite yells out many different measurements all day long. Now i either have to remember these measurements by heart or write these measures down on what ever materials are close at the time. If our measurements does not match up, the project we are working on at that time will taking longer to finish or take time to repair it. Either way we are loosing time and money on errors that we can not afford to lose. I also have to communicate with city inspectors to inspect different aspects of the project and set up times to have the city inspector come out to inspect. I have to communicate with superintendants to exchange blueprints and other add-ons to the project. I have to communicate with excavators to know......

Communication is a means of transmitting the thoughts, ideas and exchange of information from one person to another. Any organization or company that intends to be successful will need to use various forms of communication among their subordinates and coworkers. Communication is a must in any organization or company from the highest of titles to the entry level or lowest of titles. Being a business owner is very exciting, but it requires knowledge, work, skills and maintenance. One of the best ways to design and implement a business plan is to write the vision and do the research. There are procedures on how to keep a business effective (Covey 1989). Research and knowledge helps to ensure the companies stability and longevity. Behind the Scenes Work The creation of a successful business will always take time, research, and work. There are many available resources to potential business owners. One of the most important aspects to starting a business is putting in the work to start the business, and keep the business. Successful businesses are not given to those who lay idle but to those who change their perception and work for end results (Covey et al.,1989). People must be willing invest the time and money into the business. Research past business successes and failures of similar businesses and take notes. Business Communication Trends Paper

...Communication is a necessity in our society and it has been a necessity since the creation of man and woman. Communication starts at the moment an infant’s first cries are heard and the parents touch their child for the very first time. As the child grows, the child communicates with its’ parents with cries, screams, laughter, giggles, cooing, grabbing a finger, touching, listening, and facial expressions. The parent’s reactions to these forms of communication are to get a bottle, burp the child, change the diaper, looking for signs of injury, tickle, smile, laugh, baby talk, and listening to other noises that might cause discomforts to their child. Continuing to grow, the child takes in everything because the learning process never ends. Learning to talk and communicate can teach the child how to effectively speak to their parents in positive and negative tones, correct and incorrect pronunciations, and even through positive and negative behaviors, such as whining because their mother said no. These beginning skills teach the child the behaviors and speaking abilities needed to continue their life in a school, public, or family setting. The skills the child learns throughout grade school, middle school, and high school help the child gain the skills to work in the work force or to continue their college education to better their chances at a higher paying job in their future. In this paper, I will discuss the role that business communication plays in my day-to-day......
