Informal communication, Face to face and verbal communication in the company consists of morning and general meetings to establish the progress made on projects and the corrective actions needed. Telephonic conversations are used to follow-up on sites, customers and suppliers to determine progress made with deliveries, issues, and training requirements. The use of e-mails, memos, letters, and faxes are used for information communication with various departments to share information, confirm meetings, follow-up on procurement, and limited confidential communicating. Presentations and DVD’s assist in the training of subjects as a secondary medium. Assessments of the candidates are completed on Personal Computer, printed, assessed and, moderated. Presentations are utilized for product and services marketing and report and feedback on achievements. Formal communication consists of scorecards and training strategies to ensure that goals and objectives are set, understood and implemented. Continuous feedback is provided to customers on training and development results and upcoming courses, and to management to track progress of quality and deliverables. Performance management is conducted using the performance management documentation to determine the performance rating of employees against specific outcomes (White, 2008). Silent communication through graphs, tables and diagrams are used to represent the quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale targets, achievements and variances that exist.
