“It’s only me”

I think the article was given the title “It’s only me” because many children think that they’re all alone and they are the only ones who are miserable. But in fact: they are not. They are not the only children who are being bullied, and they are not the only ones to feel neglected by their parents: they are not alone. But it may feel like it, and that needs to change. I see a clear pattern of the backgrounds, of the actions, the children who did a shooting. They should seek for help and not keep it all inside. The title is saying a lot about how many children feel sometimes. “I’m odd”, “I do not fit in” and “I am definitely the only one to fell like this” – actually they are not, they just don’t realise it and that’s one of the major problem in these cases. Andy Williams is not the only one to feel like this. I like the title, mostly because we all tried to have that feeling of being the “only one”/”the odd one” and it also make you realise a lot of thinks about how others may feel about actions you might make. If I had to choose another title, I would call it: “A cry for help”. It’s catchy and I think that’s what those children’s actions are based on: a cry for help. They want those things, which make them miserable, to stop.

The first impression of the writer’s attitude, according to me, is that he makes you think of Andrew like “he was the one who started” or “he inspired others to do it” - but the further you read, he make you realise and points out; that we have to remember that this is only one in a million of times something like this happens. It happens anywhere to anyone. We always have this comfortable thought of “it will never happen to us”, but what if it did? My impression of the writer is that he wants the message about this happening anywhere and it may happen near you, and there is no one to blame. You can’t blame one single…...

Ethics on Danish Firms

...Results of Ethical Consumerism on Danish Firms – By Ali Adel Murad – Bahrain -UOB In Brief Friday, January 27, 2006 On January 26, 2006, a massive boycott of dairy produce from Arla Foods started over what is perceived as a Danish attack on Muslim values. Marianne Castenskiold, a senior consultant for Dansk Industri, expressed a fear that the boycott will spread to other countries in the region and have detrimental effects on other Danish products. Denmark is one of the leading exporters of agriculture in northern Europe, whose economy is heavily dependent on foreign trade and investment. The boycott has been announced at Friday prayer services in Muslim mosques since January 20, 2006, obviously helping to foment popular support of the nations response to Denmark's alleged ignorance of Muslim values. The boycott is a response to the publication of an article in a major Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten. In its September 30, 2005 issue, the paper printed 12 drawings of the Muslim prophet Muhammed, drawings of the prophet are prohibited by Islamic Law. In an attempt to start a debate over freedom of speech in Denmark, the newspaper printed 12 drawings of the prophet. Four of these were of a satirical nature, with one showing the prophet with a turban hiding a lit bomb. The immediate reactions to the publication of the drawings included ambassadors from 12 Muslim countries demanding that the Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, denounce the newspaper.......

Danish Drinking Culture

...Generation Fucked Up – Danish Drinking Culture. Alcohol consumption is a large part of many cultures, from celebrations at coming-of-age ceremonies to wishing good health on one’s friends. Denmark is a country which does not sway from this notion in the slightest. Denmark, a part of the notoriously-drunk Scandinavian countries, is facing a crisis: Generation Fucked Up. Generation Fucked Up refers to the Danish adolescents, who, heavy with a culture of binge drinking, are spiralling out of control. Who is responsible? Why is it so? And what can we do to stop it. Binge drinking is a concept that is concerning parents in not only Scandinavia, but worldwide. Binge drinking is when people, often young people, go out and consume alcohol at alarmingly high levels, often enough to be hospitalised. This is most prevalent in teenagers. In most parts of the world, it is forbidden to consume alcohol at all until ages 18-21. But in Scandinavian countries, this is not the case. The students of the Norwegian schools are given venues within their institution to consume alcohol. The Swedish teens are sufferers of the Swedish ‘4-day-hangover’ after every weekend and public holiday. And Denmark tops them off with not only the most lax access to alcohol for teenagers, but the highest alcohol consumption, for teenagers, in the world. According to the World Health Organization, the Danish teens are drinking 11.3L of pure alcohol every year. The Danish adults, however, are not as severe.......

What is the attitude of Danish employees towards their bosses? (104) The boss don’t necessarily need to be smarter than the staff 4. Why is it typically Danish to make fools of the two brothers of Simple Simon, and why is this a problem? (122) Because the brothers had prepared it all and Danish people do normally improvise. 5. How does the author define “the culture of the salesman?” (177) Flexibility us encouraged and Danish people compared to others are unusual homogeneous, educationally and culturally 6. Why is there a lack of “true industrial professionalism” in Denmark? How do Danish motivational factors differ from those of other countries? (212) It is typically Danish to have a relaxed attitude to reward. 8. Danish Essay About Conversation.

...Essay engelsk Last summer I was with my best friend Caroline in Spain. We lived in an area of Barcelona called Las Ramblas. La Rambla can be compared with the poluar Danish street “Strøget”. It was an area where you meet different people from different countries. There are many buildings and high trees. Then there were people who were painting, dancing, or standing model. The most amazing thing were the small shops, that are in la Rabla. There were many shops and restaurants. Most of the owners were from India or Pakistan. My friend and I, we lived in the middle of La Rambla. We were at a motel, where we slept and were served breakfast food. The other meals we ate, was outside, at different restaurants. We had to spend 5 days in Spain. We had been looking forward very much to the trip, we had heard so much about Spain from our friends who had been to Spain before. We had also learned Spanish at home, so we could communicate with people on the street and in stores. The first day we went to a Christian church in Spain. We would see the churches in spain and see what differences there were the Danish churches and Spanish churches. After we had been in the church, we were hungry, so we went out to eat. We found a turkey restaurant near our motel. On the way over to the restaurant, we meet a Spanish man, whom sat down on the floor. He sang a romantic song in India. He was so lonely on the floor while singing. I felt sorry for him. I walked towards him and sat down beside......

...I am applying for admission to the Ph.D. program in Business Administration because I want a career in the research and teaching of management. In particular, I am interested in factors that affect the competitive performance of a business concern, and the manner in which changes in technology affect an organisation's structure, long-term business strategy, product development, manufacturing, supply chains, distribution network, information needs and standard systems. In order to gain an appreciation of these and related issues, it is essential for me to have a strong grounding in Economics, Supply Chain Management, and issues connected with Information Technology, as well as gain a General Management perspective. Review para1 I believe that the Ph.D. program in Business Administration (with concentration in Management) would be invaluable in helping me achieve these objectives. It would enable me to channel my quantitative and conceptual skills in analysing business issues and would open up new avenues in research. Subsequent to earning a Ph.D., I would like to apply for a faculty position at a leading university; and investigate issues concerned with technology as it affects organisation strategy, structure and systems. Review para2 I believe that my background in engineering and management has prepared me for such a career. I have found research fascinating since my engineering days, where I received the highest marks in the Department for my final-year undergraduate......

The Danish Model of Flexicurity

...Assignment 3 : Article Summary The Danish Model of “Flexicurity”- A Paradise with some snakes Per Kongshoj Madsen (2002), University of Copenaghen A BRIEF SUMMARY This article shows the so-called “Danish job miracle”, or the drastic decline in unemployment that happened in Denmark in the last twenty years after a hectic period of reforms in the early 90s. During this period the Danish labor market has changed radically becoming more flexible and dynamic but always with much attention paid to social security. The Danish model is an “hybrid” because it comes from the Scandinavian one, the archetype, but with essential differences. The Danish system has, on the one hand, a level of flexibility very similar to liberal countries (e.g. Canada, USA, Ireland) but, on the other hand, resembles the Scandinavian countries through social security and active labor market policy. For these reasons, when we speak of Denmark is often used the term “Flexicurity” that characterizes this successful combination of flexibility related to dynamism and a solidaristic welfare system. The success of the Danish model has stimulated ideas on the actual presence of a new model of the employment system, explained in general through the so-called “Golden Triangle” of flexicurity. Generous Welfare System Active LMP Flexible Labor Market Analyzing the corners of the golden triangle and specially the relationships, we can really understand how the Danish labor market works. Concerning......
