How can I prevent identity theft?

Some of the things you can do and not a victim yet is to monitor your credit and keeping your information safe. We talked about not only making sure your information is safe when you’re out in the public, such as only carrying one credit card when you really need it, not carrying your social security card and birth certificate just to name a few, We don’t need to have these things with us everyday. Just keep the common things you need with you every day, like your drive’s license, one credit card, just to be safe. Don’t carry your checking account if you don’t need to write a check because again someone could take that information and really start writing checks that aren’t yours and can start causing a lot of damage down the road. Another things is when you’re checking credit, make sure that you’re checking it on a regular basis. You can get one free copy of your credit report from each of the three credit bureaus each year. So if you want to check that systematically, you could pull your first one from Equifax, and then three or four months later pull the next one from Experian, and then three or four months later pull the next one from Trans Union. So keeping up to date with what’s going on is key when preventing or avoiding identity theft. Another thing you can do if you’re not using your credit, let’s say you already have your house, car, and you’re not actively seeking credit, just put a freeze on your credit. That’s one thing you can do, so if someone’s trying to get credit in your name, you get that phone call that saying someone out there…...

...Multicultural Literature Monica Ramirez ENG 157 September 30, 2013 Anne Graue Multicultural Literature Multicultural interactions are very common in my work environment. I work for the hospitality industry and I interact with people from different parts of the world every day. Prior to explain my experiences with different cultures it is important to define culture so it will be easier to address the subject. Culture is what identifies a person through his or her art expressions, behavior and other special characteristics. It includes the person’s language, cuisine, and other social interactions (Heine, 2008). In this essay, I will describe my personal experiences with different cultures and the impact these experiences have made on my personal and professional life. Culture and Hospitality Industry I have worked in hotels for the last three years. All these years I have been working directly with people because I work on the Food and Beverage Department. I believe that this department and front desk are the ones who are more interesting because we can indulge in other cultures and enjoy them even if sometimes some cultures are difficult for us to understand. The culture I found the most interesting was a group of Jews while I was working for a W Hotel. We were hosting a wedding for 250 people who lived in New York but were native from Israel. This wedding reception was very frustrating for me because it was my first experience with this religion and I did not......

Onion Inc. has its roots in a rented storage unit acting as both a makeshift office and manufacturing facility. As its humble beginnings so are the philosophy of Onion Inc. – “Why spend a whole lot, when you can spend less, make do with less, and still get the same job done.” Onion Inc. is convinced that consumers out there are tired of spending too much money on computers when they simply need an affordable, reliable, unit that will allow them to do just about anything they would do on their typically overpriced overpowered technological monstrosity. 2. ...Running head: THINKING ABOUT YOUR WRITING THINKING ABOUT YOUR WRITING Imron Quamina ENG 101 English Composition Excelsior College May 11, 2014 THINKING ABOUT YOUR WRITING Writing is something that we all human beings have to do whether we like it or not. Personally I am very fond of writing. In the childhood I used to write famous inspirational quotes in my diary with meaning. Then after that, life became too busy writing was done only when necessary such as writing application for leaves and doing assignments for my various online courses. Personally, I feel that the online courses have helped me a lot but there are still many areas that I can improve on. While writing an essay, my process is simple. I think about the topic I need to write and then bullet down the main points that I need to write and organize them and frame the essay. The most stressful thing I experience while writing with regards to writing about a particular topic. I have the habit of making it short and simple and sometimes I am able to add words to my essay. Though according to me my essay has all the points, but the lack of words does affect the meaning of the essay. Adding words to the essay is the most stressful part for me. The most rewarding was the essay that I helped me fetch praises from my teacher. I was never a good writer and when you receive praises for things you are not good at, it feels so good. The greatest struggle as a writer for me is to find to words that help you......

In creating the brand of you, how do you decide what to tell, how to tell it, and what to leave out? If given the task of introducing your personal brand through writing, what specific characteristics or attributes of yourself would you share? What stories would serve to provide the greatest impact? What memories would be the most telling in introducing who you are? Though we’ll work to answer these questions throughout the week, let's do a concrete exercise to get started: First, in seven words, tell us who you are and what you do. Try to draft a phrase that serves as our introduction to you (see examples below). Place this phrase in the subject line of your response post and then provide us with details to show us how this title represents your personal brand. Using vivid, concrete, descriptive words, share an example, anecdote, or scenario that brings your personal brand to life for your audience and provides an impression of who you are. This example should be written as the content of your actual post and should, at......
