...Name Tutor Course Date Module 4 Discussion 1 ANT 3300 Most Indian Americans are culturally aloof and this aloofness has had devastating effects on their overall health and social status. Because of their historic conflicts with European settlers who colonized the continent, decimated their population and drove them away from their lands, American Indians had frosty relations with the federal government. These frosty relations necessitated the formation of treaties with the federal government to protect their interest but the group still largely remains aloof and disconnected from the mainstream population. As a result of this disconnection from the mainstream population and the general cultural reluctance to freely integrate or mingle with the outside society, American Indians currently constitute the most impoverished minority group in the United States. More than 25 percent of American Indians currently live in poverty; comparatively, only 8 percent of white Americans live in poverty. A review of the over 500 American Indian tribes that are federally recognized by the government confirms that this minority group is more likely to suffer from health complications such as obesity, diabetes, alcoholism, and other mental health complications than other racial minority groups such as African Americans and Asian Americans. The Indian Health Service was formed to take care of this group’s health care, particularly for members of the group living in reservations, but it......

For this reason I chose Weider workout equipment. I’ve been building my own gym now for about 2 years and I would like to think I had a pretty good selection of workout equipment. I chose Weider because every time I step into a gym the majority of weight and weight equipment I see is Weider. Apparently they make a pretty good product. Academy and Pre-owned Fitness equipment are the 2 places I go to purchase the free weights and dumbbells that I have. Buying Behavior

...organizational buyer behavior are sub-categories of marketing. Research in both fields has enabled manufacturers and distributors to understand the needs, preferences and behavior of buyers, as well as the internal and external factors that influence buyer behavior. Although much has been written about the differences between consumer and organizational buyer behavior, it appears that the demarcations between the two fields are not as clear as they may seem to be. Keywords Buying Center; Buying Decision Process; Consumer Buyer Behavior; Decision-Making Unit (DMU); Organizational Buyer Behavior Marketing: Consumer Overview Buyer behavior is concerned with the selection and purchase of Products or services to satisfy a need for individuals or groups. It is focused on the needs of individuals, groups and organizations. Buyer behavior occurs either for an individual consumer on his own; an individual consumer in the context of a group (where others in the group influence how a person behaves); or an organization (where employees make decisions about which products or services the firm should use). Although economists were the first academic group to offer a theory of buyer behavior, the field of buyer behavior is a subcategory of marketing that blends elements from economics, psychology, sociology, social psychology, anthropology and other sciences, such as physiological psychology, biochemistry, and genetics. The two main areas of buyer behavior are consumer buyer......

The consumer buying process is a complex matter as many internal and external factors have an impact on the buying decisions of the consumer. When purchasing a product there are several processes, which consumers go through  This model is important for anyone making marketing decisions. It forces the marketer to consider the whole buying process rather than just the purchase decision (when it may be too late for a business to influence the choice!) The model implies that customers pass through all stages in every purchase. However, in more routine purchases, customers often skip or reverse some of the stages. For example, a person buying a favourite hamburger would recognise the need (hunger) and go right to the purchase decision, skipping information search and evaluation. However, the model is very useful when it comes to understanding any purchase that requires some thought and deliberation. The buying process starts with need recognition. At this stage, the buyer recognises a problem or need (e...
