Every, since I was a little girl, I dreamed of, having a handsome man sweep from my feet and tell me that I’m beautiful. My father would be the substitute till I turned 16, the age my religion lets me date at. He taught me how a lady should be treated, not just how a lady should act, and I respected him for that. When I was fourteen, I remember thinking to myself that I couldn’t wait till I turned sixteen, I’ll be able to date and go out with friends hoping that they actually care about me. I’ll get to have classes that actually interest me. When I turn sixteen, I’ll think back on this memory and realize how right I was.

By the age of sixteen, I thought back on the memory and realized how wrong I was. Before my birthday, I had already been looking at guys I met, picking them out like my next victim. The boy that stood out the most to me was a guy that I knew back in elementary, we were real good friends and his name was Ivan Gray. I thought it was more than just fate between the two of us. I thought that God wanted me to be with him.

August 16, was my first day of High School. I woke up to the sound of my alarm at 6:00A.M. I stretched, fighting off my wonderful sleep, and walked to the bathroom which was pink and black theme. I hopped in the shower for about 30mins, when I was done I wrapped myself in a hot pink towel and walked to my room, to do my hygiene’s. I then threw on my white pants with my true religion shirt and some accessories. I went down stairs to make me a bowl of cereal but I looked at the time and it was almost time for school so I just grabbed a granola bar and a cup of juice and ran out. Screaming see you later to my parents. I hopped in my father’s white impala and headed to school. When I got there I said hello to all my friends that I knew back in middle school and continued walking in the school.

When I made it in the school I seen…...

...Victoria Green Dr. Powell English 1020.033 29 April 2013 The Call of the Wild School is like a jungle, there is no telling where someone will end up. Being at a new place for the first time can be scary and dangerous. One wrong look and someone’s life could be over. Here are a few tips to surviving your first year at Tennessee Tech University. Know where things are located, go to class, and eat healthy and stay active. First, there are quite a few buildings on campus. Knowing what those buildings are called and where they are located would be important information for the first day of classes. You do not want to be the guy that waits till the day of classes running around like a chicken with its head cut off asking everyone where the building is and getting lost; you will end up being late or even missing your first class. If you end up doing that, do not panic by any means. Your RA is so nice enough to leave a campus map on your bed from move in day. Take advantage of that map! It was a life saver to me. It will show you where every building is. Plus you need to know that room numbers go from smallest on the first floor to biggest on the upper. Every hall has its number right before you exit the stairs. That is my word of advice for incoming student’s, please take this advice to the heart. Second tip for the day, go to class! I know, I know you hear it from everybody. But, listen to me when I say it. I do not care if your class has 267 students, go to class. I do......

Re: Getting to Know Us

...NAME: SAJID JAN EGLISH: 125 4/26/2015 I agree with Dr. Galician that relationships are portrayed in the media unrealistic and harmful in our real lives. This is because the couples really believe that the love story videos are shown as true love really happening in those videos. Couples get impacted by those videos a lot. Specially, those couples who are missing love in their marriage lives. Watching those unrelenting videos on media, can create a rift in couple lives. It is because they expect the similar kinds of unrealistic love too, which is shown on Media. In literature, there are many love stories on love. For example, Romeo and Juliet, Paris and Helena, and Paolo and Francesca. From all these stories, the most common example of love was well known l described in Literature was Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet were the most famous lovers ever. Those couples became a synonym for love itself. In literature, that true love story was written by William Shakespeare. It’s a story of two teenagers from two fighting families who fall in love with each other at first sight and then get married. Both couples, chose to take their lives away for true love.  To take your own life for your husband or wife is definitely a sign of true love. Their "untimely deaths" ultimately bond their fighting households. Media has played a big role in making people believe that whatever has come on TV is true. People believe that uretic and fake love which media shows happens in real life......
