...fault that I was terminated. Yes, DDX, I remember you stating this to me in an angry fit. You said that I should have kept my mouth shut about another officer’s misconduct. Maybe you were right. But I’m not built like others, it’s not in my DNA and my history has always shown that. When you view the video of the suspect stating he was kicked by Evans, maybe you will see that I was a decent person after all. I told the truth. It still hurt that you abandoned me in my time of need. I hope you’re happy, that’s all I ever wanted for you. Sgt. Leonard Perez, you meant well but you should have known with your time on the job that the department would attempt to protect someone like Evans because of her time on the job, personal friendships, and ethicity. I’m not angry with you, but you should have known as an IA investigator. Sgt Maggie Faust LPPD, Ofcr John Thomas LPPD (ret), and Chief Eric Nunez LPPD, your guidance and mentoring as a young police explorer was second to none and invaluable as a young man, police officer, and naval officer. Sgt Faust, you forewarned me long ago about joining LAPD as they were “different” and operated differently from other modern law enforcement agencies. I now know it was your humbleness and respect for all who wear the badge and protect their communities that you didn’t just express what you wanted to say, that they lack values and basic ethics as law enforcement officers. Chief Nunez, your fucking awesome. Thanks for the long talks over the......

...detrimental to a society? Ethnocentrism- a belief that your culture of beliefs are better that others. This way of being can lead to racism or prejudice. This is why cultural and racial tolerance is very important. Humans need to come to realization that their way is not always the best. (What is ethnocentrism, 2011) 3. Define emigration and immigration. Both sound the same but not the same meaning. You are leaving one country to go to another. The country you leave, you leave as a emigrant. And the country you are going to you are then called an immigrant. (Laudon & Laudon, 2011) 4. What are some of the ways groups of people are identified? There are many different groups people can be identified. Race is the biggest. Ethicity is another because is describes their origins or culture. Religion and gender comes in handy also. Another ways is a groups sexual preference. (Laudon & Laudon, 2011) 5. Why do people label and group other people? I believe people label because its is an act of separation from a group. They then in return can resemble their own ways from the ones they are labeling from. People in general are drawn to people who have similar likings. I believe it’s a comfort level issue. (Laudon & Laudon, 2011) 6. Define culture. Is culture limited to racial and ethnic backgrounds? Explain. Culture can mean so many things. I believe that it describes many different things. Languages, beliefs, behavioral issues. Culture is taught to......

Market Research

...more about the suitable participants of the area. It was good not using Market research firm for this purpose. The team did a mistake in appointing an aged moderator of the market research firms. As the job of moderator requires expertise, it was good decision to outsource it to market research firms, but a condition on age must have been applied. This had an impact on the data collected from the initial FGDs. Though assuming Drug Use patterns as per the age groups was not accurate, it was the best that should have been done in thus situation, due to the time constraint and identifying participants as per the exact drug use pattern would itself become a market survey. Only area based and age based Focus Group Segmentation were done. The ethicity was avoided by considering the area with the majority of a race as the focus group representing the race. Screening Questions A questionnaire was prepared by the members of the team performing the research to find characteristics of people that should be included into the focus groups. They wanted to have a broader view on the topic based on the experience. The screening questions were based on the exposure the drugs, valuable things in life, influence of television apart from the information on age, sex and race of the teenager. This was an appropriate way to make sure that all the segments are present for focus group discussions. However, this did not have any indication on the types of drugs preferred by the teenagers so that......
