In this paper I will talk about why I choose this film. With the Movie Schindler’s List your imagination has no limits while watching it. Schindler’s List might just be one of worst movies to watch because of the horrific events that happened to the Jewish people during World War Two. A businessman named Oskar Shindler goes to a new city in Nazi-occupied Poland with the dreams of making a lot of money off the Nazis by making products with Jewish slave labor. After starting the plant Oskar start to understand what the Nazis are doing to the Jewish people and then starts to help them save their lives.
I would have to say I do not think there is nothing enjoyable about the movie but was a great movie. Even with the horrific and terror on the people it was meant to be done for the reason that to give it a documentary-style of cinematography and the timeless sense of the film (Wikipedia, 2012). It was the understanding of ones love of historical films which make it enjoyable to watch. This is one of the best films ever that conveyed the real horror of the Holocaust by the Nazis. “Schindler's List blends the abject horror of the Holocaust with Steven Spielberg's signature tender humanism to create the director's dramatic masterpiece” (Rotten Tomatoes 2012).
The violence in Schindler’s List is unenjoyably, which makes a lasting impression on you after watching the movie. The violence in the film is trying to divulge the awfulness during that time period. These horrible scenes do not want to be seen, but the truth must be shown. In the last scenes in Schindler’s List Steven Spielberg added the actual holocaust survivors from the movie and with their actors that portrayed them in the film. They all walked past Oscar Schindler’s real grave. (Schindler’s List). The scene is shocking and…...

...Film Viewer Opinion Paper Introduction to Film Studies With all the movies that are made not all will make it to the top. I can see where low budget movies what make the cut like most main stream movies do. But Low budget can be better than some main stream movies as long as it has a good story line. This paper I will discuss how I decide on movies I watch. Than give my opinion on what makes a movie enjoyable/unenjoyable to me when I’m watching them? When deciding on a movie to watch or go to it is a hard one if more than one good movie is on TV or playing in the theater. Movies all the times come out and making a decision to watch one takes some reading or watching of the trailer. But I will also decide if the movie will make me laugh, bored with it, or sit at the edge of my chair if I will watch it or not. The final things that will help me decide to watch the movie or not are the actors/actresses that are playing in the movie. To give my opinion on what makes a movie enjoyable what does the movie have to offer? For me an enjoyable movie has to offer many things laughter, a good story line, and action. I enjoy movies with great actor/actresses, but they must have a role that fits them. Adam Sandler, Jim Carry these are a couple of actors that I enjoy watching their movies they can make me laugh from the start of the movie. A movie with good music, if music fits the movie it makes it enjoyable since music draws people in. But even though movies can be enjoyable they...

...Film Viewer Opinion Cheryl A. Williams HUM150-Introduction to Film Studies January 7, 2013 Brian Krieger Film Viewer Opinion This summary will address how I determine which films to watch, what makes a film enjoyable, and what makes a film unenjoyable to watch. The opinions expressed in this summary are solely those of the author and not of University of Phoenix, its staff, or facilitators. Deciding which films to watch is not challenging for this writer. Romance, erotica, action, drama, adventure, mystery, musicals, documentaries, and animated or cartoon are preferred. The aforementioned types of films or movies are preferred because they usually contain an element of humor or provide some type of comedic relief. Enjoyable Characteristics For a film to be enjoyable for this writer, the film(s) should contain a variety of elements to make one laugh, cry, or both; keeps one on the edge of his or her seat, and keeps one’s eyes glued to the screen in anticipation of what is to happen next. Enjoyable films keep one intrigued, attentive, and wanting to see more. Whether a sequel or just watching the film time and time again and never experiencing boredom, even after the 175th time watching it, one is still excited by what the film offers. Movies or documentaries that teach a lesson, one can learn from the contents of the film, or something of significance can be taken away from it are things that make a film or movie enjoyable for this writer. ...| Communication Opinion Paper | Effective Communication | Amanda CummingsHCS/320Sandra AndersonJuly 14, 2013 | | | | Communication is a necessity no matter where you are or what you are doing. This is even more so in the healthcare field. To do so, you must be able to be effective at communication and able to work with many obstacles on a daily bases. In this paper we will cover what effective communication is and what some of the obstacles that are faced in the healthcare field. Basic communication is the ability to send and receive information, decoding the information, and giving feedback. Communication itself is the process of understanding and sharing. (Du Pre, 2005) So in order for it to be effective a person must first be able to send information and wait for the other person to be decode the information and respond to said information. That is only half of it; the sender must then be able to receive the information and process it and then once again give feedback. This is how we communicate. There are other factors that we must also take into consideration when we are communicating like body language and tone of one’s voice. If a doctor or patient has an elevated voice it can set the wrong tone and will only cause problems that can get in the way of a proper diagnosis. If a doctor comes into a room and slightly slams the door out of frustration it can put the patient on edge and will once again be a problem for proper diagnosis. The basic......

...Communication Opinion Paper Linda H HCS/320 July 1, 2013 Sandra Anderson, MA Health communication is an important part of health care. It allows the physician to treat properly the patient. Communication with the doctor gives the patient input into his care. Health communication is determined by circumstances surrounding the people involved. Tonality and style of speech influence understanding in communication. Cultural differences can affect the communication between patient and physician. Successful communication requires sending a message to the recipient through written, spoken, and nonverbal means. It is essential to communicate effectively from the lowest position in the organization to the top of the chain. When a person is communicating with others, the basic idea is to send and receive information with the other person. Feedback should be received as well as sent between both parties. Information is processed and decoded so the conversation is understood by the individuals in the conversation. The tone of the conversation can determine how pleasant the experience will be (Du Pre`, 2005). Personal goals are an element of communication. The physician and patient should have clear goals about what they hope to accomplish or obtain through conversation. These goals can be the need to vent or to be healed. The patient and doctor can reach an understanding through communication. It is necessary for both parties to work together to achieve these goals.......

...Written By: Fee’a Maske Communication Opinion Paper Instructor: Pamela Bonner HCS/320 2/3/14 In this paper I will be stating my own opinion of the importance of why and how to effectively communicate with others. To start off this paper I want to take a look at the word communicate which is define as follow: Merriam-Webster’s (2007) stated, “To make known, to pass from one to another, transmit, to receive communion and to be in communication, joint, connect”(p. 152). Now that we know what communication means let’s move forward with speaking upon the elements of effective communication and how it works? Effective communication incorporates the basic elements of communication because in order to have effective communication you need the basic elements of communication which consists of five elements the sender who plays the role in initiating the communication. The recipient may be an individual or a group of people. The receiver may also communicate verbally or nonverbally with the sender by using the elements of effective communication such as active listening skills, body language, and facial expressions to demonstrate that you are engaged within the conversation and that you comprehend the message of which the sender is transmitting to you. Which leads me to my next point the message itself; this is the most crucial element of effective communication because this is where the recipient identifies the message and tries not to leave room for anything to be......

...Communication Opinion Paper Linda C. Auston HCS/320 02/04/2014 Kristin Thrun Effective communication is two or more people relaying messages between each other either through speech, writing, or body language in a way that the receiver will understand the meaning of the message in the way the sender intended. When communicating with others it is important to make certain that you are sending your message in a way that can be understood by the receiver of the message. Breaks in communication can lead to many misunderstandings and confusion on the parts of the sender and the receiver. Interpersonal relationships are important to have. “It is healthy to have friends, have co-workers and be involved with other people and have different needs met in different ways.” (Cheesebro, O’Connor, & Francisco, 2010) Interpersonal skills and relationships are important to have in the health care industry. Knowing your co-workers, patients, and superiors and how they communicate is vital in the health care industry. This will help ensure that communications between you and others are effective and fully understood. Just the same, interpersonal relationships with these people will set boundaries on what is appropriate while communicating in the workplace and what is not. The basic elements of communication are the message itself, the sender/receiver, decoding the message, encoding the message and the feedback given about the message. ...Film Elements EAT PRAY LOVE AND SHANE After watching the first 5 minutes of Eat Pray Love and Shane I would be able to guess what Shane concern would be. I wouldn’t be able to guess about Eat Pray and Love only because it starts off one way and seems to venture into a different direction. In the movie Shane, its music suggests that the movie would have a combination of different emotional qualities. The beginning music starts off as happy and then it becomes serious and adventures. It then goes back to serious and happy. There is also a touch of sadness in one part of the movie. The movie Eat Pray Love the music starts of upbeat and happy and that continues for awhile. It then turns into being serious and somewhat happy at the same time. The characters that was introduced in the beginning of Eat Pray Love tells us that the theme of the movie is going to be based on them trying to figure out what they should do in life. It seems as though the main character Liz have issues with things that are going on in her life and starts to analyze her life on what the doctor told her at the beginning of the movie. The main characters husband and her publisher would be two characters that we will be viewed more in a distance. In the movie Shane there were four characters introduced in the beginning, Mr. & Mrs. Starks, their son Joey and Shane. There also were the Riders. I believe that Shane would be the main characters whose eyes we will view the movie through. The Starks are......

There are different types of communication; regular communication, effective communication, health care communication, and many more. However it is up to us to know when and what type of communication to use in order to convey the information properly. In our text, Communicating in the Workplace, according to Cheesebro, O’Connor, Rios (2010), “Communication is sometimes defined as the process of sending and receiving messages.” (Ch. 1). To further more the definition communication is the process in which one is sharing information, thoughts, and feelings between people either by speaking, writing, gestures, signals, or body language. Sometimes getting an idea across to the receiver of the communication can be compromised when communication barriers come into play. Some of these barriers may include different languages, disability, cultural, mental health, or cognitive ability. It is an essential element of basic communication to have the necessary skills to be able to smooth the relations with other people. ...Communication Opinion Paper Health Care changes are being made daily on how to communicate with others and technology is helping. Communication is very important in health care. I feel that without any communication then everyone would be lost and there would be a lot more people sick than there already is today. Learning the different types of communication can benefit in having a productive work place and knowing the consumers will come back to a provider who takes the time to understand the consumer. There is more to effective communication than just understanding information. “Effective communication involves thoughts, wants, needs, understanding the feelings, and intentions of the communications in some cases may not be expressed in words(Cheesebro, O' Conner, & Rios, , 2012).” Communication is defined as the process of sending and receiving messages with basic communication a consumer can tell the provider that he or she is sick. That sends a message but does not tell the provider what is wrong with him or her. Effective communication would be more the consumer tells the provider that he or she has a fever, sore throat, chills and body aches. This helps describe the problem more in detail giving the provider a better prospective of what is going on with the consumer. A provider can encourage a consumer to communicate through communication. It is important to listen to a consumers concerns are and go from there. A provider who takes time to listen has......

...Communication Opinion Paper Michelle Sasser HCS/320 September 28, 2015 Terri De Wees Communication Opinion Paper How does effective communication incorporate the basic elements of communication? Communication is very important in everything that you do in everyday life whether it’s for a job or in your day to day life. When having to write in a job setting you need to put into place what you are writing about as well as to how you are writing or talking to. You would not want to write or tell a group of 3rd graders how to their work the same way that you would tell a group of doctors. The five basic elements that you need to know for communication to any anyone is first who sending it (name plus for me it’s nice to know who that person is) then you have the message and with message you really do need to know who it is being sent to the receiver and when writing or tell you have to remember that so that it can be written or talk to were the receiver can understand it. From what I’m understand is that the medium is how you are communicating with people whether it’s written or verbal. The feedback is what the receiver/s are telling you the sender/s about the topic could be more input that may need to go out in more communication or it could be one on one. I feel like when this is followed it does work put well. You need to make sure you tone is good as well and that is where I can have problems with. How do the basic elements of effective communication differ from the......

... Running head: COMMUNICATION OPINION PAPER Communication Opinion Paper Helen R. Caraballo University of Phoenix Communications Opinion Paper Communication is a basic function of living. Communication happens with words, without words, using symbols, gestures, sounds, and drawings. Sometimes getting the idea across to the receiver of the communication is a difficult task when there are communication barriers such as different languages, cognitive ability, and disability. Communication is an essential tool that needs constant use and refinement to be effective for the user and receiver. In this paper, the basic elements of communication, health care communication, consumer communication, and cultural differences in communication will be the topics of discussion. Effective communication is very important. In a health care setting, it is important to listen to one another and understand what is being expressed. The basic elements of communication are listening, speaking the wants and needs, and making eye contact with the other person. I believe that effective communication incorporates these skills because you need to use the proper communication skills in order to be productive in the conversation. In the health care field I do not see how the communication in basic elements of effective communication differs because all of the same rules apply. In order for your doctor to be able to treat you for an illness or ailment you have to be willing......

...In deciding what film to watch depends on the previews or trailers they advertise. This if it catches the eye and looks like it will be entertaining throughout the movie. Going off the reviews of how many stars it has does not always mean it is the best movie to watch. For example how many emmys it has won. This definitely does not mean this movie is a great one to watch. Most of the time they are long and boring. It never really keeps the audience involved thourghout the entire movie. In keeping a audience enjoyable in the film that they are watching, it needs to have a flow to it. The story line to the film has to stay on point on what they are trying to tell someone. If you lose that, then the film ends up being long drawn out and the audience is no longer interested in the film. Keeping the audience on it’s toes will keep them asking fo more through the film. This will help keep the audience involved and easier for the them to follow what is being told to them. The suspense in a film is what keeps the audience asking what’s next and pushing their imagination to the limit. It is making your audience think while watching makes the audience feel they are apart of the film. What makes a film not enjoyable is taking forever to the next point in a film. When the audience is trying to understand the the film and can not make out what the film is truly about. The film maker does not want to drag out the film to the point that the audience has forgotten what the......

...Elizabeth Gartner Film Viewer Opinion Paper HUM/150 Sitting down and watching movies are always a fun and relaxing part of life. There are films out there that are enjoyable and others that are not. Throughout this reading I will be sharing my personal opinions on what is enjoyable and un-enjoyable to me, and how I decide on which movie to watch. Something that is huge for me is organization in a movie. If it doesn’t keep me interested and in line while watching I loose interest. There are many un-sequenced movies out there, but just because the events in the movie are out of order doesn't been it is not organized. If a movie isn't organized properly, the watcher tunes out. When deciding on a movie to watch I am up for anything. I prefer comedy but often I catch myself watching all different types of movies. I start my selection by scanning my options to look for possibly any I have heard are good or if there are any actors or actresses I recognize. After selecting a few movies this way I then read each movies summary on the back of the case. From these steps I then have my movie to watch. Every person has their different likes and dislikes in movies. A key factor in being able to enjoy a movie for me is organization like I mentioned above. Organization is huge, especially in the first 30 minutes of a movie. The first impression from a movie has to catch the watchers attention. When I sit down to watch a movie it has my full interest through out the whole movie......
