(Engemann & Henderson, 2012) When looking to make a Business Impact Analysis we need to talk a look at all the resources of our company and what they do for the company. Then we figure what each piece need in the event of a crisis and how long and how much money it will take to get back on line so let take a look at the most valuable piece of equipment and work our way to the most expandable piece of equipment. ...This pack of BSHS 352 Week 3 Discussion Questions contains: DQ1: From the course syllabus: 1. What non-electronic databases (such as lists, calendars, phone directories, address books) do you use regularly? 2. What electronic databases do you use? 3. How have you seen these applications used in your organization? Give examples. DQ2: Think of a brief cohort of people that you would want to create a database for. Come up with the fields and data that you would need in order to get the best information for your study design. Give your best hypothesis of what you think you would find out. I'm not looking for a detailed study, but I am looking for you to have the understanding of some type of study design. For example, perhaps you wanted to study women between the ages of 18-35 and their attendance at a gym, and the corresponding effect on their mood, before and after their workout. You would collect: Name, age, marital status, children or not, working or not, time of day, date of workout, smoker or not. I would have the women fill out a 5 point rating scale, rating from 1-5 (with 5 being the highest) the mood they were in. Compare it to before and after. Then for my hypothesis - According to data that I have read, I would expect that the moods would be better after the workout. I would expect that married women had better moods regardless, I would expect that those who worked out earlier in the day would have better moods in general. I would......

Week 2 Clinical Assessment

...Week 2 Clinical Assessment 1st Question. Since Clara is an adopted child I would like to know if the Lawson’s knew any of her biological parent’s history. Clara’s condition could result from genetics, if her parents suffered any psychological disorders Clara’s condition could be hereditary. Also I would want to know at what age Clara become separated from her biological parents, and how long has she been in the family of the Lawson’s. My next question would be to assess the relationship between the Lawson’s to see if they have a good or dysfunctional relationship; is there any fights or arguments in front of Clara? Lastly I would ask how long does Clara’s tantrums last? Does she try to hurt herself or others around her? The Lawson’s mention that Clara’s tantrums are recent, I would want to know if there were any significant changes or events that may have happened in Clara’s life that may have had a direct or indirect effect on Clara’s life. 2nd Question. I would consider the Rorschach test and drawing (Comer, 2005, p. 72) simply because Clara is only 4 years old it would be difficult to conduct any other forms of clinical assessment. The Rorschach test would be ideal for getting Clara to let me into her thought processes. At Clara’s age she is not capable of accurately describing her life and how she feels about it. I would also consider clinical observation more specifically naturalistic observation (Comer, 2005, p. 79). With this type of observation I would......

Sustainability Assessment

... Ind. Eng. Chem. Res. 2007, 46, 4506-4516 Assessment of Sustainability-Potential: Hierarchical Approach L. T. Fan,* Tengyan Zhang, Jiahong Liu, and John R. Schlup Department of Chemical Engineering, Kansas State UniVersity, Manhattan, Kansas 66506 Paul A. Seib Department of Grain Science and Industry, Kansas State UniVersity, Manhattan, Kansas 66506 Ferenc Friedler and Bontond Bertok Department of Computer Science, UniVersity of Pannonia, Veszprem, Egyetem u. 10, H-8200, Hungary ´ A hierarchical approach is proposed to estimate the sustainability-potential of a chemical process, based on any of the alternative synthetic routes. This novel notion of sustainability-potential is a generalization of the notion of profit-potential, the estimation of which renders it possible to screen out economically nonviable processes derived from the alternative synthetic routes at the earliest stage. At the outset of assessment, all the individual alternative synthetic routes are identified by the graph-theoretic method based on process graphs (P-graphs). Subsequently, the individual alternative synthetic routes are sequentially assessed in descending order of quantifiability, in terms of available energy (or exergy), dissipation, the possible profit, and the toxicity index, respectively. The efficacy of the approach is demonstrated for the manufacture of C2H3Cl. The approach can possibly be adapted for estimating the sustainability-potential to assess the alternative......

Clara was polite in greeting Dr. Mason, but did not smile and kept her gaze down as she took a seat. Mr. and Mrs. Lawson sat next to Clara and began explaining their concerns. They described Clara as a quiet child who has recently begun throwing temper tantrums, during which she is inconsolable. Her sleep and eating patterns have changed, and she no longer wants to go to preschool. Create a brief response to each of the following questions: ·         What other information would you like to learn during the interview with the family? What questions would you ask? ·         In addition to the clinical interview, what other clinical assessment tools should you consider? Why? ·         Although you need more information to begin treatment, what factors might you take into consideration in designing an effective intervention for this family? ·         If you were preparing to diagnose Clara, you would refer to the DSM-IV classification system to evaluate her condition on five separate axes. What type of information would go into each axis? You are not asked to enter a diagnosis, only describe the kind of information that would be entered in each axis. Psy/250 Week 2 Psychoanalytical Personality Assessment

...Amber Ryan/Stokes June 23, 2012 PSY/250 Michele Montgomery University Of Phoenix Psychoanalytical Personality Assessment Everybody is unique or special in one form or another and each personality has a theory. For many years psychologists have based theories upon individuals and I the writer will compare and contrast three well known psychologists Sigmund Freud, Alfred Alder, and Carl Jung. Sigmund Freud was one of the greatest psychologists in time he Alder and Jung’s theories were very similar but then again very different. Within these theories we will discuss characteristics with which I agree and disagree with, explore the stages of Freud’s theory explaining characteristics of personality using stage components and describe the uses of mechanisms using real life experiences. The hypothesis Sigmund Freud, Alfred Adler, and Carl Jung were in agreement with is that human behavior is determined by an individual’s past experiences and childhood experiences which paint his or her impression on events and the world at large. Adler believed in individual psychology, Freud believed in the theory of psychosexual development and Jung analytical psychology. Freud dichotomized three characteristics of personality to id, ego and superego. The id or “it” worships the pleasure principle its sole purpose is to satisfy desire and release tension. Our ego or “I” ordain according to the reality principle meaning we learn to adopt, plan and act to the world......

Ge Cultural Assessment

...Cultural Assessment of General Electric Learning Team A Human Relations and Organizational Behavior March 14, 2005 Cultural Assessment of General Electric The corporate culture of General Electric (GE) is a composite of its people, leadership, organization, structure, and processes from past to present. This paper will provide an assessment of the corporate culture of GE, and provide an insight into the dynamics, which have made it one of the world’s premier companies. The aspects of General Electric’s culture begin with its leadership, and progress through its management, workforce, policies, and objectives. GE leadership provides corporate direction with a formalized set of values and action verbs, which guide the organization (GE, 2005). In lieu of a corporate mission statement, GE identifies its key strategies and initiatives in its annual Letter to Stakeholders (GE, 2004). The corporate office maintains a distinct presence among its sprawling empire. This empire is composed of a worldwide workforce, which is involved in a myriad of activities. To lead this powerful organization, management is trained and indoctrinated into the GE culture. The myths, and legends, surrounding General Electric, lend to the cultural identity shared by the entire workforce. Training, organization, and structure are established and maintained through several processes, and programs, which contribute to GE’s cultural identity. General......
