...Can you accept delay in delivery? ----how to deal with Chinese suppliers? I supervised and coordinated an order for my buyer as his representative in China. And today I got the email from my buyer. He said as follows: “I have just received this very disappointing reply from XXX – I am beginning to lose my temper, since planning and delivery dates have exceeded far too much – now they also start complaining about the difficulty of painting style Curve. Is there any ways you can talk to them and explain to them that delay upon delay are not accepted?" If you import from China frequently, you may know delay in delivery happens a lot here. There are many reasons. But I can list some basic examples here for your reference. 1) The manufactory has many production missions. They need to arrange the production according to their schedule. 2) The factory couldn't manage the production agenda properly. Like they are short of material and need to order from their suppliers 3) The order is not easy to produce due to its high technology and strict requirements then many problems occur in the production. 4) The force majeure or the external factor, like typhoon, on fire, shortage of power. 5) Your order for the supplier is not profitable, they let other VIP or profitable orders produce first. So if the delivery time is very important to you, you need to avoid it when you would like to place the order. How to avoid the delay in delivery? Just like what I suggested......

...workforce from families, and it even got as bad as it was common to see kids working to help their families make ends meet. Kids and women usually worked longer hours at an even lesser pay then the men. Tensions caused by these conditions inevitably reached the boiling point, and the first labor conflict to come to national attention occurred in 1877, when railroad workers went on strike and froze most of the country’s train traffic. This was huge. The railroad was the life blood of travel and the way American moved good and supplies at the time. The panic of 1873 caused for wage cuts even though the railroad was still expanding. The intervention of the American government only made things worse, especially when the government used the National Guard to break up strikers. This just caused more anger and violence. In St. Louis, striking railroad workers were joined by all other industrial workers in the city, shutting down all manufacturing establishments for four days. The city’s industry was at a standstill. The crazy thing is the strikers were defeated by the National Guard and their leaders were put in jail. The works took pay cuts. Though the workers in the end lost their fight bought the issue of labor activism into the national consciousness. It’s amazing that these people stood up so strong for something they believed in for their rights for what was fair and they lost and people lost their lives. I believe that from this stroke these workers did have the chance to......

The Homestead Strike was one of the most famous strikes that happen in the late 1800s. This is an example of the struggle between labor union and business owners. In some cases, as at the Homestead, the struggle turned violent. The Homestead Strike was at the Carnegie Steel Mill and owned by Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie thought that the labor union at the Homestead Steel Mill made it harder on the manager to run their business proficiently. Carnegie was out of town at the time of the strike but he knew that it was going to happen so he warned the steel mill top managers. The Labor Union which was called Amalgamated Association of Iron and Steel Workers was highly upset about the pay drop that was going to happen. Because the price of steel was dropping the pay was going to be reduced. The Union member and most other workers decided to have a meeting and they all decided to go on strike because they felt that they did too much for their pay to drop. When the manager decided to hired armed guards to protect the company from the strikers the whole situation became violent. ...Airline Labor Relations More than half of airline industry workers are members of unions. Airline unions have a relatively long history in the United States. They differ from unions in some industries in that that are craft unions; there are separate unions for pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, and the like. This has led to a multitude of recognize airline unions, making labor relations for airlines a particularly complicated endeavor that may require dozens of separate labor contracts. Airline Unions and Collective Bargaining: A Brief History In 1934, the National Labor Relations Board introduced industry-wide bargaining to the airline industry. The most significant development, though, came in 1936 when the airline industry was included under the Railway Labor Act. The Act put in place standardized procedures for collective bargaining, including procedures for developing labor contracts and mediating grievances. Under the Railway Labor Act, collective bargaining in the airline industry was placed under the oversight of the federal government through the National Mediation Board (Wensveen, 2011). From 1936 to 1978, labor relations in the airline industry ranged from initial hostility to occasional accommodation or even cooperation, but the arms-length dealing approach eventually became most common. Government regulation of the airline industry during this period imposed constraints on the bargaining process that made it fairly orderly, as compared with labor......

Companies like Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, and H&M have all experience some sort of criticism about having this type of labor in their company. Delivery and Context

...When presenting a speech, many tend to forget the importance of delivery. Both delivery and context play a significant role in speech making. Small changes to the way one delivers a speech can alter the outcome of its listeners. I am an extemporaneous speaker because I am able to present the major ideas of my speech without having to memorize the exact words. Although I find my method to be effective and useful, there is room for improvement. I find my major flaws to be eye contact, tone in voice and facial expressions. When making a speech, I feel comfortable and prepared when it is in front of me. However, I then start to rely on my paper and constantly glance down to assure that I am reciting it correctly. I also forget to change the pitch of my voice when expressing different thoughts. I am focused on trying to remember the information that I disregard my tone, which results in boredom for the listeners. Lastly, my facial expressions can be improved. I am a very expressive person therefore I express my emotions through my facial expressions. When I stubble or mispronounce a word, I get nervous and wonder whether or not the audience caught my mistake. At that moment, my face expressions show my discomfort to the audience. These speechmaking flaws are a result of my fear in public speaking. Throughout my school years, I have always dreaded the idea of presentations. I was never satisfied with my performance as I made several mistakes because I was nervous. I decided...

...NURSING IN LABOR AND DELIVERY 2 Nursing in Labor and Delivery I have been interested in the labor and delivery area of nursing for as long as I can remember. I currently work in an obstetrics and gynecology medical office, so I only get to experience the antepartum and postpartum phase of pregnancy. I would love to work in labor and delivery as a nurse some day. I love working with people, especially in high-pressure situations. I would thoroughly enjoy creating a positive labor and delivery experiences for both mothers and family members, before, during and after babies are born. I thrive in fast-paced, stressful environments. I would be great at ensuring the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns throughout the early stages of babies' lives. Nurses do not need any specialized education or certification to work as a labor and delivery nurse. Like all areas of specialty medicine, hands-on training will progress as one works in the specialty area of interest. Labor and delivery nurses require compassion, critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills. Additionally, labor and delivery nurses should have some general medical-surgical nursing background. L&D nurses must be able to communicate well with patients, families, and other health care providers. They must be skilled in prioritizing patient needs and cope well with a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Average labor and delivery nurse salaries can vary......
