They are pursuing various emerging platforms. The company’s two major competitors have chosen different paths and this challenge has therefore made take two take a decision to navigate through the digital transition that its competitors is taking thereby recognizing that their primary strategy is to do so organically through its brand. Marketing Strategy and Execution Plan Take two realizes that the significance and position of its brand helps tremendously in its way of trying to accomplish in its success. The company understands that lack of a brand position significantly result in the wastage of marketing efforts, and may produce negative effects on its products. In the video gaming industry, products and firms can be overlooked by consumers, resulting in the loosing of market share and leaving space for competitors. Therefore the best marketing strategy in my opinion for take two is that, marketers must try to convey all benefits and advantages that are appropriate for targeting the market. Marketin Strategy of Bajaj

...based on the world renowned Japanese two wheeler manufacturer Yamaha. Weaknesses of the competitors are – ✓ If Bajaj can develop the two wheeler plant, the global competitors will be lacking in terms of cost and distribution. ✓ The Chinese competitors can be easily driven away as Bajaj is far better in quality compared to the Chinese ones. And the price for both the brands is quite similar. Attitude toward competition We intend to do monopoly business at the beginning, as currently there is no Nigeria based two wheeler manufacturer in the country. So competition is not focused primarily in our project. And even if others try to enter by following us, we will create barriers to entry through market penetration strategy. Effect of Country of origin The country of origin has a high probability to play a determinant role for our product. Unluckily, it seems to have negative impact on our product. Indian two wheelers are very popular and highly rated by the consumers of South-east Asia, but it is not that familiar in the countries of Africa. The SWOT analysis for Bajaj Motors in Nigeria is – Strengths • A team of highly experienced management personnel • Product design and development capabilities • Extensive focus upon Research and Development as Bajaj does in the domestic market of India • Widespread distribution network all over the world • High performance products across all......

...marketing=selling. Selling is the most visible leg of marketing. It‟s the facet you and I are most familiar with. If we go back to the sequence which we asked you to memorize, selling deals with delivering the already created and communicated value. In fact, if Peter Drucker, a Management Guru (not quite in the Arindam Chaudhuri league, but class nonetheless) opines that the purpose of marketing is to make Sales superfluous. In other words, the product should be so kickass that it sells itself. However, given all three of us interned with primarily Sales profiles, we think selling can never be writtenoff. Many a time, the customer doesn‟t know what he wants. 93% of respondents can‟t differentiate between unlabelled bottles of Slice or Maaza. Of course, the figure 93 has been made up, but you get the point, we presume. In such situations, the product which is kept at eye level, is pitched for by the seller or even carries seasonal discounts, is the one more likely to be preferred over the other. How Financial Engineering Can Advance Corporate Strategy

...options. These options would allow TVA the right to exercise the option in order to meet demand. Should there be no demand at that particular time TVA simply would not execute their call options. Main Constraint –since TVA is purchasing physical settlement, the credit rating of suppliers is very important, which means TVA can have option purchase agreements (OPAs) only with suppliers with a AAA rating, which limit the number of suppliers. The other constrain is regarding how the actual product will be delivered. Considering the fact that it is hard to store electricity and deliver. TVA can have OPAs only with companies who can actually deliver the product. B. Physical settlement derivatives would be required to execute TVA’s strategy. TVA must receive the physical electricity they have purchased on call in order to meet demand. C. Since it is a written call for this producer, it would be beneficial for this producer to have OPAs with TVA, if most of the options remain unexercised, the high cost provider would be able to keep the premium, furthermore if prices at expiration remain lower than the strike price the high cost producer will benefit once again. As long as the premium from the options is higher than max [0, spot price at expiration – strike price] the supplier will benefit from these OPAs. Question 3 – Rhone-Poulenc and Cemex Case: Answer: Rhone-Poulenc financed the purchase of a put option by selling calls from a financial intermediary.......

New Strategies and Engineering Technologies for Dealing with Volcanic Ash

...New Strategies and Engineering Technologies for Dealing with Volcanic Ash Abstract This report discusses the state of current strategies and technologies designed to avoid damage to aircraft from volcanic ash, and the limitations current technologies present with respect to the recent Eyjafjallajokull Icelandic volcanic eruption. Future strategies and technologies are critically examined to determine the limitations, requirements and cost of implementation. Ash cloud avoidance strategies appear to be the most viable option. A technology entitled AVOID (Airborne Volcanic Object Imaging Detector) is currently being tested on the United Kingdom’s biggest airline EasyJet which uses an infrared camera to detect ash particles and gases present in volcanic ash. Whilst this technology exists, it is unknown whether other airlines will adopt the technology, and whether the government will support it; in spite of of the huge economical cost the Eyjafjallajokull volcano caused for European airlines and in shipping delays. What is known is that this was not an isolated incident and volcanoes will continue to erupt as long as the earth exists. Global Supply Chain Re-Engineering and Proposed Turnkey Strategy

...Global supply chain re-engineering and proposed turnkey strategy The difference between current supply chain and the proposed turnkey strategy The current supply chain was performing sub-optimally compared to both the industry benchmarks and internal aspirations. Its processes and infrastructure were determined to be manually intensive and inefficiency while the proposed turnkey strategy would have a radicle consolidation of suppliers, major lead time reductions and far reaching impacts on product development. The proposed turnkey strategy would improve the production planning and sales forecasting strategy which initially had been tedious and focused on the short term without extensive use of strategic account management and market intelligence. The proposed strategy pirard would use a more accurate forecast. In this new approach, the turnkey strategy, Elizabeth Arden would seek to consolidate the suppliers and the suppliers that remained would be given additional responsibilities for undertaking the entire manufacturing process from materials procurement to product completion thus simplifying procurement efforts. On the other hand, the initial supply chain, individual purchase orders were made to many independent suppliers. Elizabeth Arden hoped to become more flexible and have lower risk with a diversified independent supplier base. What the change will mean for suppliers and current employees and their roles The changes which included far reaching impact on......
