Marketing Plan

RASA Travel Agency

Sayeh Samandi

Introduction:
There is Travel Agency Company in Tehran (Capital of Iran) which is called RASA, I decided to write a marketing plan for this company because I was working as an accountant in that company in 2008. RASA was formed March 2004 to provide hard adventure sport/travel packages with upscale accommodations. RASA Hard adventures include kayaking, white water rafting, and mountain biking. The founders of RASA are Amir Rezaee (also the president of RASA), MBA/JD, Mohammad Akbari, MBA, and Hamid Majidi, MBA. Also to their MBA status, they are fervent about the activities RASA will offer.

Tourism stakeholders in Malaysia and Iran want to set up a joint committee to promote tourism related activities between the two countries and curb illegal practices among agents.
RASA’S President, Dr Amir Rezaee, said he would increase the number of familiarisation trips to be spread out next year to convince travel agents the country is “safe and beautiful” and has products and attractions that appeal to Malaysians.
The most important duty for RASA is pick the tourists up from Iran to Malaysia.
An opportunity exists for two reasons: 1. Tourism is a growing industry (4% annually) and within the industry, adventure travel is growing at 10%. 2. There are few providers of hard adventure tour to upscale customers.

Almost all companies that provide "hard" adventure activities request to a lower income client. Companies that appeal to a richer clientele generally provide "soft" adventure package. Hard adventure activities include difficult physical requirements. They take an upper level of risk than do "soft" activities. Soft adventure activities may include physical effort; however they include a low level of risk and can be engaged in by non-athletic people.

The company's target customers…...

...As R&D manager of my company, the world's 3rd-largest specialty soy proteins producer, I was tasked with leading this project. The problem has been known in the company for years, but was never resolved. I led and supervised 21 employees, coordinated the work of 40 people, and 2 weeks later implemented a solution. During the initial discussion with Dan and 5 senior managers, I suggested the methodology for solving the problem. I presented the feasibility of the proposed solution and an initial estimate of the costs, and operational implications. The Marketing VP said "this is exactly what we need! When can you deliver?” However, I felt our suggested solution was operationally premature. Despite estimates that we need to come up with a solution within 2 weeks, I asked for 2 more weeks to conduct trials. "We have nothing to lose – we're starting full scale production tomorrow!" Dan and the CTO said. I explained that the financial consequences of failure would be tremendous and that we must also ensure we provide a consistent solution. Ultimately, they approved the trials. Right after the meeting I gathered my R&D staff of 6 researchers. I presented the issues, emphasized the significance of the business opportunity, and defined a timetable. I also asked the Marketing VP to evaluate the magnitude of the problem in other markets. His report revealed more opportunities that solving the problem will create. This required my direct collaboration with 5 marketing people......

Capella Unit 6 Discussion 2 Mba 6004

...Capella MBA 6004 Unit 6 Discussion 2 In the article "How David Beats Goliath” uncovers the secret to victory as an underdog. An underdog is someone who is seen to be less than or having an disadvantage. The secrete to overcoming a strong opponent is to combat the opponent with a non-traditional approach. If ones opponent is strong in a specific skill set, it is wise to craft at strategy the works against their weakness. In the article Vivek Ranadive coached a basketball team of average 12 year old girls who were not passionate about basketball. Through observation he noticed that a lot of their opponents were passionate basketball players who frequently played as pastime. He also noticed that most teams did not “full court press” for the majority of the game. He therefore coached his team to full court press in each game since they were not as skilled in other things like dripping, shooting etc. Consequently this team went all the way to the national championship. They became strong where the “better” teams were weak and rendered victory. This same principle can be used in everyday life as well as business. For example is Greg had a desire to be a music artist or rapper. He can assess the strengths of the best-selling artist and then fill in a gap their they are lacking. If someone else has the territory covered Greg can simply find his territory and this is what will make him thrive. I plan to apply this David defeats Goliath principle in my fashion company.......

...Why Pursue an MBA? Top 10 Reasons to Do MBA |[pic][pic][pic][p| |ic] | As the pace of change continues to accelerate at dizzying speed, we can take solace in the fact that the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree is still a constant worth embracing. It was the last century that gave us the fruits of the computer age, and it's fairly apparent that the Internet will do much to shape the course of this one. What is equally true is that for the first time, the world economy is truly global, where what happens in one part of the world is not only known almost simultaneously to the occurrence of the event, but the impact can be felt as well. Customers and competitors are no longer relegated to the geography that surrounds them. In fact, many businesses no longer have a traditional brick and mortar operation. Within this complex setting, the modern manager must still do what managers in every era have had to do - succeed. For many, the MBA continues to be the cornerstone for such success. What benefits do you hope to gain after your MBA? • An increase in salary and earnings potential • Development of skills in specific fields such as finance, marketing, strategy in order to have access to certain positions and certain companies such as McKinsey, BCG, Goldman Sachs • Access to a network of alumni • Greater opportunities to work in a country or geographical region of your choice • Development of the skills needed to set up your......

Intro to Black Experience Assignment 2

...Writing Assignment #2 Historians, political scientists and anthropologists have played a major role in the field of African American studies. There are several similarities and differences when comparing the methodology of all these people. To begin, history has been the most responsible for the restoration of the African past than any other discipline. The methodology of a historian is that of data collection. This can consist of using primary or secondary sources such as government documents, diaries, memoirs, books etc. Where a historian differs from the other fields is that they are completely objective and aim for the systematic understanding of Africa They provide the foundation for other areas to use and obtain a more comprehensive understanding. Continuing, anthropology is the study of culture and began studying Africa before history did. Early anthropologists researched in collaboration with colonial administrators who visited and interviewed Africans about their customs in their free time and created monographs. They have contributed greatly to the field of African American studies, in fact more than eight presidents of the African Studies Association have been anthropologists. Lastly, political science is the study of government and the decision-making process. They were the last to enter into the field of African American Studies due to the development of society and government. African leaders invited many political scientists as advisors and professors...

For this last discussion, begin by reflecting on your own past with an eye toward how American society has changed over the course of your life. In your response, focus less on major political or international events than on the ways day-to-day life in America is different today from what it was when you were younger. You might consider such factors as the cost of goods and services, the forms of entertainment, means of communication, and so forth. Next, identify what you believe to be the most pressing problem facing America today, providing evidence from recent news sources to show that the problem is real and pressing. There are numerous issues you might consider, such as international security, personal and public debt, heightening racial tensions, economic downturns, and so forth; but provide concrete information to back your choice. Finally, describe how Americans at different times during the past 150 years have addressed problems similar to the one you identified, and assess whether those past solutions would be applicable today.
