Hard Ship Letter I am writing this letter to explain to you about my current situation that is going from bad to worse. This continued hardship has crippled my ability to pay for my mortgage on this house. Since the beginning of 2009, I had lost a career and regained a much lesser paying job and my income has been greatly reduced. In addition, there were 11 months of vacancy at this property which I tried desperately to fill up. Then, as of January 2009, we finally got a new tenant but the tenant was only able to pay two-thirds of the monthly rent, and I had to come up with the rest of the monthly mortgage amount. Besides that, I had other personal loans and debts which I am still paying off. I have tried to refinance this property but I was unable to do so because of the drastic market drop. I have been trying to keep up with the mortgage payments using my savings up to this point, hoping that the economy will recover soon. At this time, my savings are gone and I know that I am not able to pay the mortgage with this high rate of interest. I tried to pay the partial amount for this monthly mortgage but your bank did not accept my partial mortgage payments. I tried to do loan modification and was turned down by your bank. Now, I am requesting that you allow me to do short sale on this property and post pone the trustee sale date, scheduled to be effective on 10/05/2009, so that I can salvage this house value and make the short sale payments to your bank. I am a responsible person, trying many ways to make money to pay the bills. I’m asking for your consideration through this very hard time and a chance to maintain my good standing with your company. Please show us some consideration and your kind attention. I awaits for your prompt response to my harship situation.Thank you for this opportunity to express my concerns and god bless you and your…...

A Letter to My Dearest Friend John Smith

...October 2012 A Letter to My Dearest Friend John Smith September 15, 1616 Dear John, Since I have met you I, Matoaka (Pocahontas), have matured into a great woman. Most people know me as "the most dear and well-beloved," but other people (Powhaton Tribe Members) still think of me as "the devil child or playful-one." In my opinion I am just a strong, resilient, self sacrificing, and overly caring lady of the Tidewater Region. Therefore embracing my new lifestyle as a Christian wife and mother is easy. When I was growing up in Werowocomoco which is about twelve miles outside Jamestown, Virginia I learned what I thought were necessary skills to being a good wife and mother but not how to be a colonial wife and mother. Being a colonial wife and mother means cooking, cleaning, sewing, making clothing, and assisting in raising baby Thomas to be a great man. In contrast to my tribes way of life where the good wife and mother constructs the house and everything associated with it, cooking and preparing food, gathering firewood, collecting water, rearing children, making clothing, planting, harvesting, making useful items (baskets, pots, wooden spoons), processing meats, tanning hides, and collecting plants. Apparently being a Powhaton mother and wife is harder than being a colonial one. I am really enjoying all the free time. In regards to my feelings I think I am finally in love with my husband John Rolfe. Even though I was forced to marry him for peace between my......

Letter to My Child

...Do you know who you are? Seems like a crazy question, but it is real. You are my greatest gift from God. You are not only my greatest gift; you are apart of God's greatest creation. This is a stressful time for you. Your body is going through so many unfamiliar changes. These changes are probably super uncomfortable for you. These changes are called puberty. Believe it or not, mom went through these same feelings that you are going through right now. Looks like you will be putting on a bra pretty soon. If you have not already, expect to feel some tenderness around your chest and nipple area. Do not panic! You do not have breast cancer. You will have boobs soon. This is just the beginning of you blossoming into a beautiful young lady. The sensitivity in that area will go away. Also, get ready to wake up one of thes mornings to have grown more inches than you ever have in your life. "Puberty" brings forth the fastest increases in your growing since you were a baby. (70, Santrock) Both of your grandmothers and I reached a height of about 5'5, 5'6. You will more than likely reach these heights too, due to heredity. You will gain a few pounds to go along with those new inches. This is not a bad thing. This is a great reason to go shopping! Shopping for new bra's, shirts, pants and panties. Yes, new panties are going to be needed also. When there are changes up there, there will also be changes down there too. These changes are very natural. Embarrassing, but natural. Everyone goes...

Hardships

...Hardships Susana Aguilera Carrington College of California Hardships I decided to talk with my dad, he is 78 years old. He is retired and lives with my mom who is also retired. He worked at Campbell Soup Company for 42 years before he retired. He was very active in sports, played senior softball until his kidneys failed him. When we were talking about the different hardships that he has gone through or is afraid of going through, one came up more frequent than others and that was not being able to do the things that he used to or wants to. That is the hardest thing for him right now. He was so independent and loved to be outside working or wants to help his children; grandchildren do things or fix things for us. But there were others that came up as well that he may go through as well as others. The first is a hardship that anyone can go through and that income. Since my parents are both on fixed incomes, they need to stay on budget. He expressed that one can stress on how they will make it through the month. The stress of paying the mortgage, utilities, other bills or being able to afford the things that they want to enjoy at this time, like traveling. He says you work all your life to support your family and now you want to enjoy your life now but you can’t, that can be really depressing. He says he knows that it is hard for everyone right now with the economy being the way it is, but it’s so much harder for them to go out and get a job. It’s not only......

A Recycling Letter to My Headteacher

...Dear Ms Jackson, Thank you for your time and willingness to listen to the issues I raised regarding the use of Sixth Formers’ 2-hour period for the E3 program. I have recently discovered it is a concern shared by and affecting many students, some of whom prefer to revise during these hours. Therefore, for many including myself, the E3 period is proving to be a burden more than an effective use of time that could be benefitting us as individuals as well as our means of furthering in life after Sixth Form (CV, applications, records, etc). Below I outline the proposed E3 program and ideas for how the period could be used that would prove as or even more useful than revising for our subjects. Health and Wellbeing All activities proposed for this area are essentially P.E options. Since 2 hours of our timetable are assigned to mandatory P.E activities, I think as well as existing options we should be able to choose from more activities not limited to sports. Keeping with the idea of health and wellbeing, we can: * Have sessions addressing stress and how to deal with it (possibly sessions helping us DEAL with stress directly rather than just suggesting ways how to) * Sessions to build motivation * Sessions addressing depression/other issues affecting wellbeing of students Other relevant topics/skills that benefits our general wellbeing/life: * Learning about taxes/mortgages/financial matters in real life * Specifically, student finances – e.g for......

...Thank you for your treat. He told me it is very interesting to translate your letters because he also learned a lot, like learn the exchange rate at that period. 信 These letters he translated reminded me of the letters my grandpa wrote to me (Although he passed away,) My father helped him bind the letters together into book form. That is only for private circulation. My grandfather ever said he had there homes, one was Guangzhou, Zhanjiang and hospital. At the start with, we whole family lived in Zhanjiang city, where was at southwestern of Guangdong province. When I was 3 years old, my parents with me moved to Guangzhou. So, one-third for Guangzhou, one-third for Zhanjiang and one-third for hospital due to his cardiovascular disease….. [ˌkɑ:diouˋvæskjulə] When he was in Zhanjiang, he wrote two letters to me each week since I studied in primary (elementary) school until I went to high school. Every letter focused on one topic which mostly talked about life, (like how to be a good student and how to behave properly……..) One of the most impression letters he wrote was it was my first time to raise a puppy when I was studied in Grade6 primary school. Via the letter, he taught me many knowledge of puppy, like the types of the dog, different functions of the dog and always warned me not to be the people who lost in play will lose their aims. 人: He was one of the members of War of Resistance against Japan but he was a secretary of the General. 食物: Avocado......

An Open Letter to My Former Other Half

...To my former Other Half, When I was asked to write for the Writers Guild’s current topic: Choices and Chances, I was initially thinking of writing something that would inspire me to give myself a chance to love once again. Instead, I decided to take the chance to write this letter for you. Let me start this by admitting to you that your love was remarkably one of the most wonderful experiences in my life, there’s no way I can put into words the love I felt from you and what I might also be still feeling from you until now. I looked over the pain that caused us, the mistakes made, because you were never the kind of person who keeps ill-feelings for others, but I am your exact opposite. I find it hard to forgive and forget. All this time, I’ve been holding onto the idea, that after getting over all this trouble, we are finally meant to be together. I would always remember the lines I’ve read from one of Paulo Coelho’s book, stating a quote from I Ching: “It says that a city can be moved but not a well. It’s around the well that lovers find each other, satisfy their thirst, build homes, and raise their children. But if one of them decides to leave, the well cannot go with them. Love remains there, abandoned – even though it is filled with the same pure water as before.” I knew you’ll always be a part of what I have made myself as of this time. I poured my happiness and dreams with you. You were supposed to be a part of my future, but it was all shattered with that......

My Story(an Application Letter)

...When I was younger, I used to take pens, small parts of different machines, flowers, leaves and many other things apart to put them back together, so that I could see how each piece, however unimportant the piece seemed, fit together to create a working object. As I progressed in my school life, my interest in applying this in real life increased. It always fascinated me how even the lack of the smallest organism could tamper the ecosystem just like a spring toy that does not work properly if the spring is slightly bent. After Grade 10, I took up pure sciences- Biology, Physics and Chemistry as well as Mathematics and English. My passion for biology was keenly supported by all my chosen subjects. Chemistry helped me understand the molecular structures while Physics and Mathematics helped me understand the dynamics and statistics that we were provided with. Being an avid reader, has led to the formation of many ideas which I feel can be expressed on gaining more insight. A degree in Biological Sciences will help me reach my dream. Earlier this year, three of my friends and I participated in NTU Science Symposium. We had to write a research paper in any field of science. The four of us love biology and felt that we would be able to express our skills and knowledge through the paper and came up with the topic 'External Factors Affecting Bacterial Growth'. The research paper certainly tested our abilities to work as a team. We had to submit the paper in May and all of us had......

Hardship Letter

...Re: Rosaura Munoz Juan Munoz To whom this may concern, I, Jun, Dee’s younger sister, am writing on behalf of Dee and Doo regarding her immigration status. My sister was brought into the United States by our mother and father when she was a toddler. I am aware of the fact that they entered the U.S. territory illegally, but inspite of their actions; they were only in search of a better economic lifestyle. Dee has lived her entire life in the United States and has never returned to Mexico since then. If you were not to grant her permission to return back with us, many things will drastically be affected, like her husband, their children, and her life. Doo has been an amazing brother-in-law. I am so proud of all of his accomplishments throughout his life serving in our Army to defend our nation. He already has to deal with many things regarding his job, and the thought of taking his wife out of his life has only made it more stressful for him. I could not imagine Doo’s life without my sister being a part of it. Secondly, my nephew and niece would be devastated to hear their mother cannot return to their home. Every child needs a mother’s warmth to feel safe and loved. Separating them from Dee can have a negative impact for their futures. Let her have the opportunity to see her children become outstanding human beings by their side. Finally, Dee has been an outstanding person that has left a trail of unforgettable memories that cannot possible be forgotten.......

The Letter a

...I constructed the letter A. The way I built my letter resembled an isoceles triangle. My letter has two sides that are the same length and two of base angles are the same in length. The definintion of an isoceles triangle is a triangle with two sides of equal length and two congruent base angles. The letter A I built and isoceles triangle are almost a perfect match. Another geometry concept that connectes with my letter, A was an acute angle. An acute angle is an angle that is less than 90 degrees. The triangle inside the letter A I constructed has an acute angle. The triangle has 3 angles that are acute all are less than 90 degrees and will add up to 180 degrees. The final concept I thought my letter connects with is parallel lines. The two lines in the center of the letter A are parallel to eachother, the two lines will never cross eachother or intersect. Parallel lines are lines in a plane that will not touch, cross, or intersect even when the lines are extended. The two lines in the center are not the only ones that are parallel to each other, the one line on top of my letter and the other thats on the bottom are also parallel. Those are the three geometry concepts I thought my letter connected with. My first semester of geometry did not go as well as I would have liked it to go. I failed most of the tests and quizzes because I was not responsible and did not do the homework assigned and study the reviews given. Despite all my failures this semester I always went to......

...I am writing you this letter and I horsgerknvbdsjkbfdpe when you read it you are able to comprehend and grip the deep meaning of it. During my grwekkfbnkdflifetime I have seen many impacting changes that could change not only history in general, but women’s history forever too and now I would like to dflesjfglkwrhgirohgioergtake the chance out to tell you about them. To begin I would like to tell you that during the 1960’s women were thought of more like property instead of actual human beings with a vfwgnkkrghjrebvujkdsoice, but everything soon began to change due to many movements and laws. We were expected to stay home, take care of the children, cook, clfsdnvshriiheiean, etc. It was not even right for us to leave the house without our husbands. We, as women were barely ever able to work. When we were given jobs most of us had to let thrfklerngerhgnerlgkejem go when we married, due to the fact that we were thought as stupid, inadequate, incompetent, and men thought we could not focus on our domestic chores if we were out working. Jobs given to us were menial jobs such as, airline stewardesses, secretaries, and etc otherwise known as ‘women’s work’. The only time women were given job of rgwerlgme;lrg. a man was when I was a child in the 1940’s during Wsdfjrfhurwhgbdfjkbsuissdrld War II when women were given jobs in the military, but only because they were short staffed. For Your Consideration: Letters of Thanks to My Rapist

...really knew it. I would try and leave my scent wherever I went, my bakery-sweet sweat to linger in white cotton curtains that blew in gusts, or silk tablecloths spoiled with red wine, or sheets - dirty with sex juice. It was a scent that reminded people of the worst kind of girl, one who lies and cheats and has found the perfect rhythm and swing of her gait because she's figured out the power of her own hips. My scent would collect people like a flies to sticky paper. I would leave them in my wake. That is how it was with me, then. In time they would all get over it, like a death or a birth or all those things that happen in between, but every so often a gust of wind would pass, or a fork would drop to the floor, and it would somehow stir up a memory of me that they thought was settled. An atom of me, a fraction of a drop of my sweet sweat would soar in suddenly and cling to one hair right inside of their nose. And it would be enough to make them blow up, it would be enough to make them throw up, it would be enough to make them get up and leave. It would be enough to make them stay and keep sniffing around for more. That was all I was then. A vibrant spec with no purpose. People were consumed by thoughts of me for no reason that I could ever understand. Maybe it was the way my eyes always burned brighter than others because I had just been crying, or the way my lips swelled up because I had been biting them earlier in a fit of my usual nerves. I would like to say......
