As per the requirement, we are going to use the Cisco 4300 Video Surveillance model camera in here. So we have to have a good reliable switching architecture for getting the maximum throughput from these cameras. Otherwise they are acting as just ordinary video camera. When we are speaking about the switching architecture of this project, first of all we have to fulfill some major requirements. They are,
1. Must comply with the Cisco hierarchical design model;
2. Must provide physical, as well as logical, redundancy;
3. Must integrate 1Gb uplinks;
4. Must segment camera IP traffic from the existing network for security reasons;
5. Must support a minimum of 150 cameras;
6. Must utilize PoE for cameras to avoid the use of power bricks or power injectors;
7. Must provide sufficient bandwidth for full HD support; and
8. Must minimize rack space.
First of all we’ll discuss about the Cisco hierarchical design model. The Cisco hierarchical design model is a three-tiered or layered network model that is used to design and engineer data communication networks. These three tires are,
• Access layer - The access layer interfaces with end devices, such as PCs, printers, and IP phones, to provide access to the rest of the network. The main purpose of the access layer is to provide a means of connecting devices to the network and controlling which devices are allowed to communicate on the network.
• Distribution layer - The distribution layer aggregates the data received from the access layer switches before it is transmitted to the core layer for routing to its final destination. The distribution layer controls the flow of network traffic using policies and delineates broadcast domains by performing routing functions between virtual LANs (VLANs) defined at the access layer. VLANs allow you to segment the traffic on a switch into separate subnetworks.
• Core layer -…...

The historical roots of social psychology are primarily based upon three theories. The theories are Psychoanalytical theory, Behaviorism and Gestalt psychology (Taylor, Peplau, & Sears, 2012). They are separate theories that intertwine with each other to provide the beginning of Social Psychology. The first theory is the psychoanalytic theory which follows Sigmund Freud’s theory emphasizing unconscious motivation. This theory follows the belief that every person’s actions are determined by internal drives, “Such as sexuality and aggression (Taylor et al., 2012, p. 5).” The second theory is Behaviorism. This follows the precipice that a person learns a behavior and then later uses or follows that behavior. This can be taught or learned form family, friends or community. The third theory is Gestalt psychology. “Theory that people form coherent and meaningful perceptions based on the whole, not individual parts (Taylor et al., 2012, p. 5).” Motivational theory follows the belief that persons’ actions are determined by acting in a manner that will meet a need or desire of that person. Assignment Background Information After evaluating and completing support for high-definition IP cameras to enhance security for DeVry University, you have completed a design of the network switching infrastructure that fully supports both the existing data traffic and the additional HD camera traffic, according to requirements. Last week, you discussed your template of configurations with the network manager. Over the past couple of months, the university has experienced a number of issues with Layer 2 loops and the loss of VLANs. We discovered that a student connected a switch that was purchased at a local garage sale to the network and inadvertently bridged the network, causing a Layer 2......

...BUS 604 Personal Assessment Paper In a 2-3 page paper, answer the question of whether you are ready to be an entrepreneur. Identify those factors in your personality, business skills and lifestyle preferences Personal Assessment “The key ingredient to being a successful entrepreneur is to get off your butt and do something” – these are the words of the founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheeses, entrepreneur Nolan Bushnell. Having your own business is not just like deciding you want to become a self-employed individual and become a master of your own. There is more to it like being a hardworking man, learning how to become dedicated and to preserve with everything that is about to happen during the start of the business. According to entrepreneur Nolan Bushnell, it is not just the three mentioned things though (hard work, perseverance and dedication), a successful entrepreneur needs to have goals too and the desire to succeed with it. To run a business is not just by accident but is something that needs to be worked on. It needs to be studied and it needs time. Being in the business world is like leading a nation just like world leaders we have before and today. Leaders and entrepreneurs are common in some things especially when it comes to running a business and running a country, there are traits the both possess and needed in order to succeed with their responsibilities. They must be willing to risk things, are motivated......

...Support for High-Definition IP Cameras Chadwick Neyland DeVry University NETW206: Introduction to Switching Submitted to: Professor: Yves Gollo Date: 4 Sep 2012 The redesign of Devry’s campus network will be a large undertaking. With the requirement of adding Cisco 4300 IP cameras to the network, we will have to upgrade most of our equipment. The redesign will require the upgrade of most of our switching equipment over the entire campus, focusing on our packet switching network. Using the Cisco three-layer hierarchical design mode, l will need to acquire new switches for the Access, Distribution, and Core layers. I am recommending that we use the Catalyst 3750 switch for our Access layer switch. This switch supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), 10/100/1000 ports, and has a backbone of up to 128Gbps. The PoE also supports IEEE 802.3af and up to 24 ports of 15.4 watts. (Note: The 4300 IP camera needs a max of 11 watts of power over PoE.) For the Distribution and Core layers, I am recommending that we use the Catalyst 6500 switch. This switch works at both layers, so this will help save cabinet space and has a backbone of 720 Gbps. These switches also have redundant power supplies that are also hot-swappable. Both the 3750 and 6500 series switches can utilize VLAN so that the video traffic can be isolated. They also use Quality of Service (QoS) so that video traffic can be prioritized. The 3750 series switches support Cisco StackWise technology; this will allow......
