Online schooling gives better delivery of the material. Traditional schools will often charge more than online classes. There is more flexibility for students with other commitments in online education. Online schooling requires dedication, discipline, and a distraction-free-environment, but online is better because it allows flexibility and often charges less than traditional schools. Concerning grading papers, online is so much faster than traditional. Because all online students work at different paces and when done with assignments can send them right in for grading not having to wait for the next class session, allowing the teacher to grade or send correction feedback before the assignment is due. This also gives the teacher time to look over them as they come in, a few at a time instead of 25 all on the same day because of class schedules. With online classes grading for papers is easier because everything is transmitted via a computer which calculates how many words are in the paper, where as traditional schooling the teachers have to count each word of everyone’s papers and if you have 25 students it, can take more of your time just making sure they have enough words. ...and write down their observations on a sheet of paper so that they would not feed off of each other’s views of the picture. Even though the photo was very limited with details my observers all seem to have some very similar observations. For example two out of three testers saw this man as just simply waiting, tired, and walking his dog while the other tester saw him as being weird, homeless and maybe lost. When asked about the opinions that they formed of the man in the photo, they could only give shallow reasons, for example the man being homeless was based off of the fact that he was sitting on the ground. Overlooking the entire view, the observer that suspected that he was homeless did not observe his clean clothes and freshly shaved face. Another example would be the observation that he was walking his dog; the photo gave no indication that a dog was ever present. Based upon all of the feedback from my analysis I had a hard time figuring out some of the observation, and what would conclude this analysis is the fact that everyone is seen in a different aspect no matter how you see yourself or other people and perceptions will continue to be form for generations to come. This essay has taught me that having a difference in opinions or the way that different people may perceive us is quite normal and that we as a growing world should embrace the diversity of the people around us because all perception will be different and all perceptions are not negative. ...Online Learning Community (OLC) has become more common. More and more learning institutes are offering courses online to cut cost in the use of classrooms. It also enables students who live away from college and university campuses to access learning opportunities. This stirred more interest to researchers regarding the affects of OLC on teaching and learning. Results vary widely; some conclude that face-to-face interaction is more natural and direct while others assert that online learning and blended learning have just as many positive affects on students. Researcher David K. Larson performed a three-way comparison of face-to-face versus blended online versus purely online delivery of a Management Information Systems (MIS) course. Larson (2011) studied examination and final grades as well as measured the students’ satisfaction and learning effectiveness. The students were enrolled in the MIS class, which was a requirement for Business and Management majors. Out of the 168 students, the majority of online learners were female. Larson concluded that there is no significant difference in the students’ performance as far as examination scores between the different modes of delivery.
