This lesson plan development helps the students in many ways. Students love getting out of the classroom and being able to change the pace. They learn best when they can see, touch or feel the materials and gather the information accordingly. Each student learns at a different level and in a different way. This is what makes each of us so unique and why it is so important to implement different lessons and themes to grab each student’s attention and insure that we are doing all that we can to reach each student no matter how difficult. Our group focused on the season of fall as our unit subject. This is a great and very useful theme because each student is able to see the changing season around them. Every student can appreciate a different thing about this season. Maybe it’s the colors of the leaves, or the cool mornings and evenings. Maybe it’s the idea of a pumpkin hay ride…or maybe it’s as simple as the taste of that crisp apple. No matter what it is students learn best when they find something to relate to and fall is no exception. Assessment for this theme can be focused on in many ways. Primarily teachers can see if the students are following the lesson and decide how to adapt the materials to ensure that the content is reaching the students appropriately. For my lesson the students need to be able to follow directions. This is important for safety as well as to insure that each student is learning all that they possibly. This lesson plan insures that the students will see the changing…...

...feedback is given to let them know where they stand. Students are aware that teachers and administrators are monitoring their attendance, academic performance, and behavior. Positive feedback is essential to ensure that students maintain excellence and negative feedback encourages them to improve. Allowing students opportunities to show what they are capable of “fosters high performance both by expressing high expectations and by allowing excellence to occur” (Razik & Swanson, 2011). Interrelated dimensions must be met for Pygmalion leadership to be effective. The structure of Village Meadows is different than that of a typical public elementary school. Village Meadows is a Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) school, and is funded in part by Arizona State University. A TAP school has unique staffing needs. The leadership team consists of a principal, three master teachers, and four mentor teachers. Teachers that are not on the leadership team are referred to as career teachers. One unique aspect of a TAP school is the possibility of career advancement. Career teachers participate in weekly professional development meetings, and regularly collect data to track the improvement of their craft. As they grow in their profession, they encounter the ability to not only enjoy performance pay based in some circumstances on student growth, but they also have the opportunity to climb the career ladder within the school. ...CLC Assignment: VDOT: Trying to Keep Virginia Moving Grand Canyon University: MGT-420 July 26, 2014 Introduction Why was the Virginia of Transportation in need of a complete overhaul? Why was Philip Shucet, a person of 30 years plus of leadership experience, selected as the suitable candidate hired in as transportation commissioner? In our group effort to process and examine, we were able to break down the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) case study. In our efforts to obtain, through insight and research and based off statics and input of the composer of the article, “Virginia Department of Transportation: Trying to Keep Virginia Moving” we try to understand the organizations failures in practice and challenges that they faced through its previous leaders practices. (Darden, n.d., pg. 1-13) We also touch base on certain individuals philosophies in management theories, as well as their approach practices related to VDOT recent and past difficulties. We learn about an organization and question their development practices upon their foundation structure and lack of organization. We relate them to today’s modern day challenges and experiences and managerial theories and practices, as ways in building and creating new culture and organizational foundation and structure. Similar to the efforts of new transportation commissioner Philip Shucet, as dealing with general environment issues of economic conditions, social-cultural conditions, legal –political conditions...

...MGT 605 CLC assignment http://homeworklance.com/downloads/mgt-605-clc-assignment/ It is not unusual for organizations to have several people in leadership roles who participate in collaborative decision making for the benefit of the entire organization. Surprisingly though, as your team convenes, a directive is issued informing management that only four people will be able to staff the team, which will of course increase the pressure on the remaining team members. In teams of five, individuals should share the vision for a successful West Coast Transit marketing team, which they composed in Module 3. Once each individual has made a case, together, the CLC must negotiate and select a team of four to present to the director. As the management team, the CLC must also decide which strategies will be most effective for leading the agreed upon team. Compose a PowerPoint presentation (10-12 slides) with a justification for the CLC’s team selection and summary of the decision-making process that addresses the following: 1. Who are the four team members and what was the primary reason each person was selected? 2. What are the primary strengths of the team?......

Mark Cartwright was an energetic man, 39 years of age, who worked long hours on the job. He was helped by an assistant who, in the words of the investigator for Northrop National Bank, “has been doing and can do about everything that Cartwright does in the organization.” Other employees numbered 10 in early 2004, five of whom worked in the yard and drove trucks and five of whom assisted in the office and in sales. As part of its customary investigation of prospective borrowers, Northrop National Bank sent inquiries concerning Mark Cartwright to a number of firms that had business dealings with him. The manager of one of his large suppliers, the Barker Company, wrote in answer: The conservative operation of his business appeals to us. He has not wasted his money in disproportionate plant investment. His operating expenses are as low as they could possibly be. He has personal control over every feature of his business and he possesses sound judgment and a willingness to work harder than anyone I have ever known. This, with a good personality, gives him a good turnover; and from my personal experience in watching him work, I know that he keeps close......
