Purpose of Research Research is an investigation in or on a particular subject to form a legitimate basis, to revise or establish a theory, or to cultivate certain plans of execution based on discovered facts. The purpose of research is undoubtedly a continuing routine of refining and correcting a hypothesis, which may point in the direction of a scientific truth. First identifying the problem and planning to work towards resolving the app developers predicament. After the problem has been identified then the leaders need to design a research study that will facilitate collecting, measuring, and the analyzing of the data that is relevant to the development of the app, its purpose and its targeted group. Now that the developers have designed the research study they need to start the research study. By doing this it will answer many questions that lead toward identifying the appropriate age, activities, and locations. The organizations will follow all the guidelines which include any rules or steps towards making sure the right conclusion to the problem is found. They will also ensure that ethical conduct is also followed and ensuring no personal information leaked. Researching the issues and possible solutions such as; will the app be for people of all ages, for a specified age range and what outdoor activities are more preferred, will help the app developers correct the problems to the best of the developers ability. The problems that we picked bring in many people from the community to conduct appropriate studies and questionnaires. The app developers need to start researching what is going to help productivity, advertisement and sales. This could either be to hire more staff to conduct the research or have larger study groups. When developers use effective research it will lead to finding and creating solutions to have a well-rounded and complete…...

When you are preparing to write your paragraph, you should have a reason why you are writing about this topic, this is considered the purpose of the paragraph. Then, you have to state your tone in the paragraph. Your tone is your attitude towards the subject of the paragraph, you should express your feelings about how you feel about the subject topic in your writing. It is important to know your audience, if you are writing a paper that is meant for children you should not structure it like you would do for adults. You should put yourself in the mind of one of your reader’s or intended audience, this will help you narrow down information that is not needed or intended for your audience. The last step in structuring your paragraph is preparing the content or written material that will be put into the paragraph. This is an important step that goes along with knowing your audience. If you are writing material for a children’s book then you should not use words that would be hard to comprehend as a child. Also, if your subject topic has a lot of adult material or content then you should censor it so those thoughts or ideas would not be portrayed by your audience. As a writer, you should consider this guide when writing your paragraphs. You have to be able to look at your work......

...Research Problem and Purpose Government funding is a large portion of the funds available to the Salvation Army so the organization can provide assistance to the needy. The government provides funding to every program with the exception of the rehabilitation program. Without the proper funding from the government the programs the Salvation Army offers are in jeopardy of not operating, unless other means are found. Although the Salvation Army has not lost their funding at this time, the organization needs to prepare for the possibility considering the financial crunch that the United States struggles with. With a struggling economy more individuals find themselves needing the services this organization offers, and without proper funding the Salvation Army will not provide the outstanding services the organization is known for. The Salvation Army needs to research the possibilities of other areas of funding, the allocation of funds and how to cut cost to provide more funds for the programs the organization offers. Researching areas of improvement, opportunities to provide more collaboration with United Way, and searching for other means of funding will assist in aiding in the survival of the organization if government funding is lost. The purpose of researching these options will provide the means necessary for the Salvation Army to stay true to their mission statement, “The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian......

Purpose

...Annie Taylor EDCI 1001- James Baker 9/25/11 My Purpose In Life The literal meaning of the word “purpose” is “the reason for which something exists or is done, made, or used.” I believe my purpose is to follow the footsteps of the Lord. I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic grade, middle, and high school. Both my parents are Catholic and I am very thankful for having a solid moral “ground” for which I was able to grow on. I went to Christian camp for 9 years growing up and it was there that I really found my purpose in life. Surrounded by young adults as my counselors and mentors, I was able to easily relate to them and was set a good example of how I want to be when I am their age. I am their age now and I feel like I am on the right track but it is an ongoing journey to fulfill my goal of following the Lord in most everything I do. My mother always used to say, “Do one random act of kindness everyday”. She told me it was a way to give back to the Lord for all the blessings and gifts he gave me. That is one way I do to reach my purpose. Another way is going to church. There are many things I do not agree with in the Catholic Church but it is the closest way I feel I get close to the Lord. Going to church makes me feel like I am better suited to fulfilling my goal. I use it as a “refresher course” or reminder of what I need to do to be a happy person. I’ve been though stages of my life when I greatly doubted the Lord. Whenever I am in doubt, looking through my......

Purpose of Research

...“Purposes of Research” Have you ever wondered why some people spend weeks or even months doing research when they could just google it in their phone which wouldn’t take up even a minute of their time? (Well it depends on the internet conection speed of course). According to www.slideshare.net Research is “to search again, to take another more careful look, to find out more.” And is reffered to as “a systematic quest for the undiscovered truth” The main purpose of research is for the quality of life to progress and to provide solutions to problems which would also improve the quality of life. What you’ve learned is the source of the background information you use to communicate with others. In any conversation you talk about the things you know, the things you’ve learned, If you know nothing about the subject under discussion, you can neither contribute nor understand it. When you write or speak formally, you share what you’ve learned with others, backed with the evidence to show that what you’ve learned is correct. If, however, you haven’t learned more than your audience already knows, there is nothing for you to share. Thus you do research. Let us put the previous thought into a more critical circumstance, let’s say that you are a member of the Philippine Army and is sent to war against other countries. The knowledge you have represents the bullets of your gun and the depth of your intellect is the thickness of your armor. Without bullets, you cannot compete...

No Purpose

...To have no purpose means that you are living and doing things for no reason, because you do not know who you are or why you are on this Earth. It also means that whatever you do in life is meaningless and there isn’t anything that you do that you like or enjoy. If you are working or going to school, you’re just working and going to school, not giving your all, or doing it because someone else, such as your parents or peers says that you must do these things. If there is a purpose, it means that you know why you are on this Earth, why you are living, and why you are doing the things that you do. With purpose, you are living and doing things to get something out of it. Doing things with purpose makes a purpose feel life and feel good about doing certain things like going to school, work, or indulging in a special hobby that makes you happy. In relation to the Fact/Value Dichotomy, to have no purpose, one seems to not have morals or values, or even a conscience, when there ought to be. Some examples are people who rob, steal, or even kill. They do these things because deep down, they have not valued their own lives; therefore, they don’t value anyone else’s. In relation to the Faith/Reason Dichotomy, to have purpose is to have faith of the unseen. Although a person may not like his or her job, he or she goes to work because in the end, they know that they will benefit from working, thus, they give their all day by day...

Purpose

...Statement of Purpose I am the first in my family who ever went to college. Coming from a low-income African American family, I had to overcome many challenges to graduate from college. My experience at the University of Texas at Austin has been tremendous. It has opened up exciting possibilities for my life, including the opportunity to get a higher degree. I have always believed in education. Growing up in a poor neighborhood in Houston, Texas I saw so many young men and women disillusioned, and never had the opportunities to experience a good college education. We need to make higher education more accessible to the urban poor. This will require concerted efforts both at the level of the educational institutions and the low-income communities. I want to be part of this effort. I majored in ‘Youth and Community Studies’ with these aspirations in mind. As an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin, I worked in a number of education related capacities, as – middle school STAAR tutor, physical education teacher assistant, sports counselor at the YMCA of Greater Austin and as basketball coach for middle and high school girls. My job experiences have given me a wonderful opportunity to learn and work with people of different cultures, lifestyles, beliefs, and backgrounds. In particular, my teaching, tutoring and coaching experiences at Austin Discovery School and YMCA of Austin gave me a good perspective of how public and private schools operate,......

Explain Research and Evaluation in a Public Relations Context, the Methods Used to Gather Data for These Purposes, and Why Research and Evaluation Are Important to the Pr Planning Process

...Research and evaluation go hand-in-hand as key features that contribute to any successful public relations efforts. Without them, public relations plans and activities would have no clear direction or guidance as to how to speak to their intended audiences. With the increase in organisations seeking justification for their PR spend; it is even more important for practitioners to demonstrate return on their investment through their own evaluation. Effective primary and secondary research, along with a commitment to ongoing evaluation is crucial to any public relations plan. It is important that both research and evaluation are always undertaken as it will ultimately provide a solid foundation and help to ensure the campaign is continually evolving, increasing the chances of its success. Research, an essential tool for any public relations campaign, assists with the gathering of information and opinions, contributing to the strategic plans ability to increase its efficiency, establish realistic goals and target the right market. With the main purpose of research being to find answers to the questions being asked, it enables the public relations practitioner to build theories that will assist in solving the problems they will face. Harold D. Lasswell, a political scientist, explained the questions every practitioner should ask, ‘who says what, to whom, how, with what effect’ (Lindenmann 2006, p. 3). If a practitioner can find answers to these questions, they will be in a......

...I want my purpose in life is to contribute to a better world. To do this, I have made it a priority to incorporate this goal in to my values and develop habits that will allow me to achieve this ultimate goal. Through my work, school, and relationships, I have found that when I focus on my ultimate goal, and applied my values, I have been able to experience enormous success in all three aspects of my life. These values that I find most important are integrity, respect and awareness. With work, my goals are to keep challenging myself and find a career that fits me the best. This career should be a fast paced, customer oriented and plenty of opportunities to continue to learn. Currently, I’m part of a planning and research team that evaluates flood risk and propose potential mitigation solutions. I have been able to excel in my position because I have applied my values consistency through all of my work. When evaluating flood risk, a lot of the data used is sensitive information therefore having integrity is essential since people need to trust me with this information. Additionally, flood risk resiliency planning involves many stakeholders, therefore prioritizing respect when communicating with others is essential for working together. Lastly, flood risk management involves both a qualitative evaluation approach and a quantitative analysis. By having awareness for others, I believe it has helped me to develop solutions that take in to consideration the many impacts that a......

...The Research Problem, Purpose and Question Definition of a Research Problem A situation in need of a solution, improvement, or alteration; or a discrepancy between the way things are and the way they ought to be. Sources of Research Problems Nursing Practice Researcher and Peer Interaction Literature Review Theory Research Priorities Example of a Research Problem “Current policy at most hospitals requires the use of routine flushing of heparin locks after administration of medication or flushing heparin locks every 8 hours when not being used for medication administration. However, there is disagreement on whether flushes of low doses of heparin are necessary to maintain the patency of heparin locks. Heparin is known to be incompatible with many drugs. The interaction potential of heparin is said to be avoided by flushing the lock with normal saline injection before and after administration of the medication…Saline flush is a safe, time-saving procedure for nursing staff to perform. Additionally, the use of normal saline would save the cost of a heparin flush.” Definition of Research Purpose A purpose is a concise , clear statement of the specific goal or aim of the study. Statement of Purpose

...Sample Statement of Purpose: MBA The term “globalism” has become overused, and often misused. In fact, we might say that it has actually been devalued to the level of the everyday language of buzzword-brandishing marketing pundits. Such freewheeling usage has perhaps prompted many a CEO (or future CEO) to launch into a global plan or strategy without proper consideration of the demands and dynamics of the international marketplace. Many would-be globetrotters neglect the acquisition of language skills, knowledge of foreign trade and tax laws, accounting standards, etc., all of which are necessary to effectively “go global.” Superficial knowledge only leads to failure. This has, indeed, happened, and while there is no doubt that neglecting to capture the gains achievable in overseas markets is equally suicidal, misguided attempts at competing globally (along with rapidly developing opportunities in the global marketplace) have placed a dramatic premium on individuals who take the time to properly train themselves in international business. For me, the Columbia MBA is a significant component of this training. I foresee my own career moving in the direction of European/American business, initially from an advisory perspective (i.e. investment banking or consulting) and ultimately from a leadership role within a manufacturing entity, preferably a start-up venture. This prophecy, in part, has evolved from my past experiences in western and eastern Europe which, in turn, have......
