...Research Proposal STR/581 Strategic Planning and Implementation September 25, 2013 Research Proposal The topic chosen to research and innovate is a social enterprise startup, called Micro Benefits. This financial consulting group provides affordable micro-benefits such as credit, insurance, education, and lifestyle discounts to low-income workers in factories. The employee benefits platform not only benefits the employees, but it also benefits the employers by lowering attrition and saving millions in cost associated with very high turnover, which are particularly staggering in China. The proposed plan is to provide access to higher education to the workers to innovatively grow this already proven profitable business model. “Social enterprises are businesses whose primary purpose is the common good. They use the methods and disciplines of business and the power of the marketplace to advance their social, environmental and human justice agendas” (Social Enterprise Alliance, 2013). Micro Benefit’s mission is to improve the lives of migrant and factory workers through and economically sustainable business model that creates real value for customers (Weibangfuli, 2013). For the employers: currently, there is a drastic need for factories to retain employees, because in China it is common for the frontline workers to leave and migrate to the next factory or job – never staying long. Out of 350 million workers, 150...

...My research proposal aims to show if the there have been any changes to combat human trafficking since the enactment of The Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000. Through my research I will hope to find that there has been improvement in human trafficking since the bill was passed. The question I have provided for my research are the following: What are some types of trafficking? What is the impact of human trafficking in the United States? What factors contribute to human trafficking? How does human trafficking of women and children contribute to sex terrorism? Should the Government enforce sanctions on states with lenient trafficking regulations? Today, many sources provide legitimate information that support the fight against human trafficking, and there are states that have passed bills after the enactment that state the regulations regarding human trafficking. California holds several of Assembly Bills and Senate Bills regarding human trafficking such as the Senate Bill 1133 - Enacted September 24, 2012 which according to the article Human Trafficking Legislation on, states that, “Expands the scope of property subject to forfeiture in human trafficking cases and provides a formula to redirect those resources to community groups that aid victims of human trafficking.” New Jersey also holds the Human Trafficking Prevention, Protection and Treatment Act which was signed in May 2013. Although there are many sources that......

...Research Proposal 1. Introduction The growing globalization is not only bringing new competitors, but also exposing consumers to a wide range of foreign products and offering more purchase decision choices. Consumers are paying more attention to the origin of products as part of their evaluation and purchasing decision process (Bhuian, 1997;Ettenson & Klien, 1998; Katsanis & Thakor,1997). ...developing and developed countries. In Kenya, the incidences of juvenile delinquency have increased in the resent years and thus it has prompted the research studies on juveniles and crime. Juvenile delinquency is a type of offences committed by young people. The major offences committed by juveniles include vandalism, auto-theft, vagrancy, truancy and incorrigibility. The prevalence of juvenile delinquency has fostered by high living standard in the country, media and technology, availability and misuse of drugs, poor parental skills and broken-homes. However, most cases of juvenile delinquency are never reported, thus making it impossible to arrive at an accurate assessment of the number of children who engage in delinquency. In the 1960s in the United States of America, Gottrieb and Ramsey (1964) observed that only about third of adolescents apprehended by the police for offences considered delinquent were ever taken to police station or juvenile court. Usually, published figures underestimate the real incidences(Snooks, 1980). Therefore, this research proposal tries to study both the overlooked cases and addressed cases of juvenile delinquency in order to understand the risk factors and come up with more accurate figures that will help the CJS and rehabilitative centers come up with effective preventive measures.. This research proposal seeks to explore the different root causes of delinquency in Kericho County; and the extent to which the issue of delinquency......
