Site Visit Essay Paper

Site Visit Essay Paper

Cognitive behavioral techniques are used during a counseling session in a hospital or office setting by therapist. Although I was unable to do a current Site visit to a human service department of a company to write my report, I do know from my own experience some things pertaining to programs that employ behavioral or genitive intervention and or models. In this paper I will attempt to explore some areas within a cognitive intervention such as:
• What population participates in the program?
• Who presents the program?
• How the effectiveness of the intervention is measured
• How do they determine a need for the program?
• Do they have plans for other programs that use behavioral models and techniques?
• What other models and theories are represented in their programs. As we look into the population of participants, it ranges based on the type of behavior being addressed, intervention and motivation strategies. Last year, when I attended my counseling session, it was held in a group session with different people of all ages. This particular group session addressed issues of anxiety and depression. I quickly learned that many people have issues with anxiety and depression, yet they are hesitant to get counseling to change the behavior. Although some may want the help, they often have the fear of having to take medication to alter the behavior without realizing that there are other methods to correcting a behavior. Over time, through educating more people about behavioral intervention, the population of participants may increase. The people presenting the program, weather in a group or individual setting, are therapists or people equip…...

...Assignment – The Visit English Literature SL Ms. Glystra Significance of Minor Characters The use of dialogue keeps the character alive in a play. If the character is in the play, what other things can the character do than act and be apart of the play. The dialogue assists the character into what he or she should be doing. The place and timing on when and where the characters appear is very important. Not only does settings sets the place and time for the play, it also shows the characters background information on where they come from. Friedrich Durrenmatt uses both these literary techniques to help understand the characters. The word ‘minor’ refers to something or it could also be someone that is not as important but when having to take the word ‘minor’ and put it in front of the word ‘character’ we would have minor characters. Thus, if labeling the characters minor and major would it have an affect on how we as reader see the characters and if the character is a minor character, would it make any difference if the character were taken out of the play? Usually when thinking about the significance of a character, the main character is more significant than any other characters. However, some minor characters could also hold a significant role. In many television series the killer or the guilty ones are always the ones who watches from the sidewalks or the ones that seems to be too innocent to do it, but don’t let their behavior fool you. In the play The Visit by......

...Site Visit Report Systematic Desensitization is a type of behavior therapy (McLeod, 2008). Developed by Wale in the 1950s, systematic desensitization was based on classical conditioning principle. Systematic Desensitization is used to treat the fear of phobias that a person may have. Systematic Desensitization uses two techniques the hierarchy of fear and relaxation techniques (McLeod, 2008).   How Systematic Desensitization Works The first step in systematic desensitization is to provide a patient with some relaxation techniques ("wiseGEEK," 2003-2013.) This is used to help the patient to remain calm during the next step in system desensitization. The second step in system desensitization is to create a hierarchy of fear ("wiseGEEK," 2003-2013.) This is step is done with the help of the therapist. Both therapist and patient create a list of things that frighten him or her or what things may through him or her into a panic. The list is composed of things that frighten the patient the least to the things that may frighten the patient the most. The hierarchy of fear will help the therapist to know which phobias to start within a systematic desensitization program. Next the client will have to imagine him or herself in feared situations (Ankrom, 2013). An example would be a person who has a fear of speaking in front of large crowds. First, the patient will need to imagine him or her talking in front of a small crowd of people. With the growing anxiety, he or......

Site Visit Catholic Church

...Site Visit # 1 For my first site visit, I decided to attend Saint Martin of Tours Church. I am not of any religious background and do not attend church, if I do go to church it is with my husband and his family during holidays and they are Lutheran. I personally have never attended a Catholic church, so that I why I decided to attend this church. I attended Saint Martin of Tours Church on July 13, 2014 and it is located in Valley City. The church is very large and beautiful. It is made out of all brick and many large glass windows. The inside of the church is just as I would of imagined also, very bright and welcoming. When I first walked in, a woman who welcomed me and handed me what they call a bulletin greeted me. As I entered the chapel, I noticed there were three different aisles and 4 long rows of seats or pews. The ceilings were vaulted and extremely high. I was surprised how large it was in inside, although the building is very large for the outside, I do not think I imagined it being so massive inside. At the front of the chapel, there were three very large wooden arches behind the pastor, and in the middle of the arches was a very large wooden cross. Just above the cross was a very intricate circle of stained glass, it had every color imaginable and resembled what looked like a flower to me. There were also signs in the front corners of the church that had numbers listed on them. I actually asked my husband, who went with me,......

...Tatrina Bailey Career Counseling-Mid Term Dr. Jill Thompson Prairie View A&M University March 14, 2015  Defend the statement: Career development is a continuous process. Explain how it is a discontinuous process. Career development is a continuous process, which concentrates on the processes of seeking, receiving, and processing the information about one self, educational and occupational alternatives, role options and life style. In other words, career development is the process, which makes people understand themselves in relation to the working field and environments, and the role they play in it (Zunker, 2012). Today, in the 21st century, the world of work is very different form the one it has previously been. Globalization of the job markets and the economy, and rapid advancements in technology create an increased competition. The main focus of the global economy is information generation and delivery of services. The modern world dictates the conditions for the business world, providing continuous outsourcing of work, reduction of companies, and modification of jobs. Due to that, people have temporary and part-time jobs, while a growing number of people are self-employed. Therefore, the majority of careers may be described with such words, as uncertainty, insecurity, unpredictability, work intensification, fewer opportunities for promotion, part-time work, self-employment and non-standard contracts. In this regard,......

...Xinghua Huang Adrian Gaskins BWS 151 Section A October 5, 2015 Visit museum I visited the art museum with my classmates and professor on Wednesday in order to understand better about the black world cultures. It was my first time to go there in campus. The moment I arrived there, I found that the building was special. When we walked into it, there was a big painting in front of us. And then there were several rooms to show different kinds objects. There was an area for collecting paintings. There was another area to store camera in the old times. In a word, all the things in it had a long history. After a short Introduction, we are separated to three groups. My group needed to analysis a big painting which had two cycles. The two cycles contained a sentence, that is, “Just as in the Anatomy of Man, Every Nation Must Have Its Hind Part”. There are few red stars and four different colors in the center. The background of the painting was black and it had a big title “Alabama”. I discussed with my groups. Then I thought that the stars in the center insinuated some places. The sentence in the cycles may stand for freedom spirt of black people. Finally, I learned many things from professions. I knew that most people watch each artwork in 7 seconds. We should watch it longer time and then think deeply. This is the most significant thing I learned in this amazon class....

...Site to Site Connectivity Scenario With the two site taking long to replicate or not replicating at all I would first check the time that is set to replicate and if there is even a connection at all. Open the console and service site link and note how long this configuration is set for replication. Then I would try and duplication the problem. Create a new object in the Active Directory and replicate. Compare the time it took to the time set on the configuration. There are many other ways you could troubleshoot this issue. Open command prompt and run repadmin /?. This will show you many helpful commands you can run to troubleshoot this issue. In repadmin /showrepl command helps you understand the replication topology and replication failures. It reports status for each source domain controller from which the destination has an inbound connection object. The status report is categorized by directory partition. Use the /repsto parameter to display outbound partners. The /replicate command tests replication success after you remove suspected fault conditions without waiting for the replication schedule to open /replsummary will Identifies domain controllers that are failing inbound replication or outbound replication, and summarizes the results in a report. Like I noted before there are many options to troubleshoot this another tool I would like to leave you with is a command line tool DCDiag.
