For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.

Physical health: I am happy with my body size and weight. Through my younger years I was always trying to stay thin at any means and any cost. Now that I am older and wiser I have come to the conclusion that I am who I am and I am very happy with myself.

Social health: I am open, honest, and get along with others. As my life has changed through out the years I find that it is better to be open and honest with others. I find no reason to try to keep lies straight. If you are honest there is no problem.

Intellectual health: I like to be involved in different activities that allow me to use my creativity and interact with other people.

Environmental health: I live in Georgia and do believe that all the wood burning that takes place here does affect my breathing and lung function.

Emotional health: I avoid using alcohol or any other mood altering drugs. I find that with a foggy mind you can not think clearly. Your thoughts are not as affective as they would be in your normal state.

Spiritual health: I go for the gusto and experience life at fullest. I have recently found GOD; I know he would want me to do my best in all I do. Live my life to the fullest.

Social health: I have excellent social health because of my attitude. I try to have a positive attitude at all times, and be the best person that I can be. I think having a great attitude, makes people want to be around me. Intellectual health: My intellectual health is overall good. I can credit this to belief, and the belief of a positive mental attitude that the military has taught me. This is important because a lot of hardships in life can be overcome with a positive attitude. Environmental health: This again, would fall under belief. I think that a person needs to believe that environmental health is important and understands the need for it. I personally believe that is important, and I know that we are doing great in America on this topic. I have been other places, and we are by far one of the best. Enroll in a formal education or training program, or simply study a hobby of yours to contribute to your positive intellectual wellness.
