My Strength and Weakness in Learning English

...My Strengths and Weaknesses in Learning English In all levels of education, the quality of every learner’s grasp and understanding always varies since each student obtains knowledge from their educators in different ways. Additionally, it also reflects that students will have dissimilar strengths and weaknesses which can actually be seen through their study while they are all together learning in the same class. From what I have remarkably noticed since the start of learning English, I constantly find myself having many strengths and weaknesses listed below. To begin with, grammar is my goodness in learning English. I can analyze and catch up the grammatical structures, tenses, and usages sharply and clearly whenever teachers or lecturers have explained them to me. Also, I rarely make any mistakes in grammar exercises since I am quite careful and thoughtful when building sentences or choosing the right answers. Moreover, good time-management is my another best virtue in studying English. I can separate between my study time and pleasure time distinguishably. Furthermore, I usually sort out a study-calendar, which enables me to submit every homework and assignment to teachers or lecturers on time. To sum up, grammar and good time-planning are my strengths in learning English. Besides, listening is my feebleness in studying English. I am not able to understand the whole conversation well once the native speakers speak very fast. Also, I never get good scores in listening......

Strength and Weakness

...Jack Handy of Saturday Night Live once said, “If you think a weakness can be turned into a strength, I hate to tell you this, but that’s another weakness.” While Handy might have merely said this in a comical sense, I would still agree because some of my weaknesses are my greatest strengths. One of my strengths is my drive. When I commit myself to completing a task, I am in many ways stubborn about seeing it through. My drive can also be a weakness in that I sometimes try to do too many things with perfection at the same time. During my bachelors, I was interning, volunteering and taking on friend and family issues. It was ambitious of me to think I could handle everything on top of a difficult academic schedule in school, but I tried. For me, it is difficult to understand and see the line between excess and enough drive, but this past experience has taught me that it is ok to say no and put less on my plate. Another strength is my ability and willingness to always try new things. That is how I got a chance to increase my intra personal traits by playing a major role in organizing the events of TECHNOCOM, a National level technical festival organized by our institution. This created a perfect platform for exposing myself in both leadership qualities and monitoring skills. Throughout my life I have observed two distinct career paths, my father’s and my uncle’s. My father is a veterinary doctor. He secured a government job in India, which he continues to......

Competing for the Future and the Core Competence of the Corporation

...Competing for the Future and the Core Competence of the Corporation The two articles named in the title above, written by Humel and Prahalad respectively, explore how projection affects a company’s competitiveness. Summary The most dominant companies in the world have been shown to have two major characteristics which are strategic planning and core competence. A company’s strategy simply means its master plan for the future while its core competence is its strategic advantage. Most companies that have a strategic intent and a strategic architecture to develop those intent always end up being more dominant than companies that do not project towards the future. The managers of different strategic business units (SBU) in a company or organization must be aware of the common strategic intent being pursued, and collaborate towards it rather than compete against each other for short term benefits. This will enable competences to be easily identified and clarified. Access to diverse markets, distinct customer benefits and distinctiveness are the three major characteristics of a core competence. It is necessary to focus on the core competence in order to capture an emerging market. A core product developed from a core competence, derives an end product which can be sold to a customer at the consumer or manufacturing level. The core products are the components that add to the quality of the end products. Reflection To capture an emerging market, an industry must strive to......

Strengths and Weakness of Kantian

...Basic Strengths and Weaknesses of Kantian Ethics Main strengths of Kantian ethics: * Clarity - Kantian ethics is clear and easy to follow. Its absolutist, deontologicalnature is arguably the most easy to apply * this is good for environmental, business and sexual ethics. Any theory which is easy to apply is helpful/useful/reliable * Egalitarian - Kant states we should treat people as "an end in themselves" and so Kantian ethics puts everyone on equal ground * this is also good for all three, for obvious reasons * Consistent - the absolutist nature of the ethic means that what it says will never change - nobody is an exception * this is good for business - all customers are treated exactly the same and none are favoured * Honours respect and dignity Main weaknesses of Kantian ethics: * Maxim scope - anyone could universalise a maxim to allow anything, so long as it is universalisable * sexually, the maxim 'women should always be sexually passive' could be put forward, as could several others. Is this fair? * corrupt businesses could employ any maxim they wish to justify doing something which many of us may see as immoral * Inflexible - because of its absolutist nature, Kantian ethics offers no flexibility. Itdoesn't regard the situation of an action, which is arguably not helpful or useful in the modern world * this is a weakness for all three - environmental, sexual and business issues are all specific......

Weakness

...“The child is father to the man” –HORACE MANN The fact that a person may have a weakness may build up much insecurity to start breeding wickedness because they are missing that strength inside of them. It may break them or make them feel angry towards a person that shows success in life. Especially, if it’s in the area, in which the person, can’t strengthen their weakness. In my teaching, this semester with my internship I had a fire brigade silent an alarm without doing the proper procedures in which she should had made a perimeter check of the building. Before she had acknowledged the alarm before making sure, there was any problem. I had to approach her about this situation due to the fact I’m the fire safety director of the building. Her excuse was that she didn’t understand the training, but she knew that button would be silent the system so that the fire department wouldn’t come. If the fire department had come on the premises, she would have to explain to them the cause in which she had little knowledge of what to do. So with that said, you build a child strong he will be good. I wasn’t producing enough knowledge to her to do well. Her wickedness came from weakness in not knowing proper procedures in which she could think of cost someone their life. I truly believe this quote a lot of bad things happen in life because of people weakness. If we could find a way to build our children to be strong and not to have a bad soul in their body, they would be good. Someone......

Strength and Weakness of Current Healthcare System

...Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the current health care reimbursement system. What components do and do not contribute to the overall effectiveness of the system? Why? * The symbiotic nature of components in the health care system * The fragmentation of the health care system * The school of thought regarding health care as a free-market good * The school of thought regarding health care as a universal right The U.S healthcare reimbursement system is very complex. It involves private and public payers and changes in the reimbursement approach of one payer have implications for the other. One feature lacking in both type of payers is reimbursement linked to quality. Payment is based on delivery of services: “Right or Wrong”. The current system does not promote quality care and most services for preventive care are not reimbursed. Those components don’t contribute to the overall effectiveness of the system. Given a clean slate, would you keep the current system, keep components of the current system or change it altogether? One thing we should keep in mind is, although not effective, the current system works! Billions of service transactions occur each year and providers receive payments that sustain them financially even though some physicians believe reimbursements are not sufficient to support their increasingly complex practices. The problem is that: * The current system leaves approximately 45 million American uninsured and a considerable......

Personal Strength and Weakness

...My Strength and Weakness I believe we all have certain personal strengths and weaknesses. For me, it has been very hard to find out what I am strong or weak on it due to the passive education that I had in Korea. I was educated to study in order to go to better college and then better job. Under these circumstances, it took me for a long time to find out my strength and weakness. Thanks to the MBTI and DISC self-test that I had through this course, “Spiritual Formation”, I could have better idea on my strength and weakness. According to the MBTI result, I am an “ESFJ” typed person. ESFJ typed people are usually warmhearted, conscientious, and corporative. They usually like to work with others to complete tasks accurately and on time. Lastly, they are usually loyal and want to be appreciated for who they are and for what they contribute. I was very surprised to see how accurate it is and of course it gave me a great moment to think about and find out who I am. I generally consider myself to be a well-organized, warmhearted, hard-working, and a very responsible person. My greatest personal strength that I think I have is a good people skill. I believe I am a good team player and I respect people that I work with. I enjoy speaking and giving ideas to them so that they can count on me to work thinks out. I am also good at learning and teaching things. I believe education equips us with the abilities to succeed in our lives. I like to learn things that develop my skills and...
