RESUMEN EJECUTIVO

El proyecto nace a partir de la inquietud al ver la preocupación que hoy en día prevalece en los hogares que cuentan entre sus miembros con adultos mayores, por lo que se considera importante contar con alguien de confianza para que pueda atender a su ser o seres queridos, cuando los integrantes de la familia deben estar fuera de casa desarrollando distintas actividades, y si a esto agregamos que generalmente las personas no están preparadas para tratar y enfrentar este tipo de situaciones; como es el trato especial que requieren los adultos mayores.

Wasi Achachi se encargará de cuidar al adulto mayor, para que mientras los familiares estén en su actividad diaria, tengan la plena confianza de que su ser querido está siendo atendido con la mejor calidad.
Dicho servicio consiste en proporcionarles toda la atención al adulto mayor con el objetivo de enseñarles a ser independientes y sentirse personas importantes y útiles para la sociedad.

...Improving the Life of the Ju/wasi The Ju/wasi people were naturally a group of hunters and gathers, having been so for many years. They rarely, if ever, dealt with sickness; they did not have problems finding food nor were they ever on the brink of starvation. The particular diet of the Ju/wasi people was varied with different plants and meats offering a diverse and nutritious diet to all, their roaming lands were filled with food for them to eat. However, many years have passed since the Ju/wasi have been able to hunt and gather as they please and the changes pressed upon them by the government has destroyed their way of life. In order for the task force to insure the continuation of the Ju/wasi people changes must take place. The most important change that should be done above all else is to allow the Ju/wasi people to once again become hunters and gatherers. It is painfully obvious that the government forcing them to remain in one area with a limited amount of land, and therefore a limited amount of resources, has not worked in favor of the Ju/wasi people. While it has been a convenience to the government, the Ju/wasi people have suffered. The mean scores of the children are on the boundary of normal and delayed language with means of 87.04 (12.45), 86.67 (14.16) and 85.96 (12.40) for Core, Receptive and Expressive Language respectively. The mean scaled CELF Core scaled scores (not shown) for each class ranged from 27.22 to 34.95. There were no statistical differences between classes except for class 2, which differed from classes 1, 5 and 6. The results for the other measures are provided in table 2. The mean WASI non-verbal IQ for the children was 95.89 (12.68) just over 4 points less than expected for the normal population, and therefore well within the average range.
