Urban Indian consumers are perceiving watches as a fashion statement and are now willing to own more than one. This style trend has gathered momentum among both men and women consumers. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE * Titan Industries Ltd continued to be the clear leader in watches with a retail value share of 40% in 2014. The company also posted the biggest increase in actual retail values sales during 2014. The Chrysanthemums Summary

...The Chrysanthemums Summary How It All Goes Down At a ranch in the Salinas Valley, Elisa Allen tends to her chrysanthemums while watching her husband talk business with some men down by the tractor shed. She does her gardening work with ease and eagerness. She's a strong lady, and she has got planter's hands, whatever that means. Her husband returns from his successful business deal, and he wants to go into town to celebrate. They plan to finish their work for the day and head into Salinas for dinner. With Henry off working, Elisa returns to her chrysanthemums. Enter intrigue. She's interrupted by the arrival of a stranger – a man who fixes pots and pans. He drives up to the house on a ramshackle wagon and asks Elisa for directions and work. Elisa and the man have quite the conversation, and Elisa seems to develop a connection with the stranger (see what we mean about intrigue?). This connection culminates when she passionately tells the man about her chrysanthemums, and gives him some sprouts. Overcome with emotion, she almost reaches out to touch the man, who soon takes off, leaving Elisa all alone and flustered. When he leaves, she returns to the house and bathes and gets dolled up for date night with her hubby. He arrives home and gets ready, too. As they head for town, she sees the chrysanthemum sprouts she had given the man lying by the side of the road. Soon after, Elisa and Henry's car passes the wagon and the man. After discussing their evening out a bit more,......

...taking, practical accomplishment, validation, anticipation, personal growth and scientific learning. To elaborate, emulation is when people tend to imitate historical figures and public giants, and validation is when people apply a new concept that they have learned based on facts presented to them. In terms of accepting responsibility and directing learning, “ Knowing Yourself” provides an example to explain it. Kaplan transferred his career from biology to the music business and played the role of vice-president of Disney Production. The gap between these two industries lets Kaplan feel challenged. To fulfill his responsibilities, he works hard on learning relevant knowledge and skills. For example, to learn from successful movies, he watches five movies every day and reads each movie script carefully. To learn details about the operations of the music business, he stays in the studio head office, listens to the studio head respond to calls and observes his way of talking with clients. Currently, Kaplan is able to fulfill his responsibilities as well as his peers. Leaders are not only eager to learn anything they can, but also need to find out what kind of knowledge and skills would benefit them. The process of learning is not just knowing new materials, but also coming to understand the world. Understanding your learning is the last lesson of self-knowledge. This process involves the transformation from theories to practices. Based on Socrates’s statement,......

...Summary of Online Degrees Could Be a Good Fit for Some In the article Online Degrees Could Be a Good Fit for Some Teens Briana Boyington is portraying that there is no correct type of college. There are different options for a different variety of learners and their different circumstances; whether it be a job, financial instability, or a student just needs relief from classroom learning. These options include four year universities, community colleges, and online degree programs. There are positives and negatives for every option. A few negatives for online degree programs is students lose some of the social interactions with other students and faculty that occur when attending school on campus. Employers are sometimes weary of hiring students that only have an online degree, campuses that offer both online and in class learning are looked at more highly. It is made clear in this article that online learning is a robust choice for a student who is self-determined, not likely a successful path for a student who has struggled in the classroom. When graduating high school online degree programs aren’t typically broadcasted, or encouraged. Most teenagers are set on living the college life so to speak. Boyington suggests that even though online learning is not the typical pathway, it could be a great path to success for many students who can’t go away to college as initially planned. A good online school would be one that inspires students to interact and get as close to......

Randy agreed to the sale and explains he is going to fax a written order for the sale of the watches which when Wally signs and sends back he will ship the watches. The order said “I Wally agree to purchase Rolek watches from Randy for $25 per watch” But Randy omitted the quantity of watches to be purchased. Wally signed the form and dropped it in the mail. Randy received the signed form two days later and then shipped Wally 50 of the 100 watches with an invoice for the full amount of 100 watches totaling $2500, and a note saying that he will ship the remaining 50 watches in a few days. Wally received the watches but decides to cancel the order and called Randy Rolek to explain that he has changed his mind and that he will send the watches back plus reimburse him the shipping cost. Now, Randy is suing Wally in federal court in Illinois to enforce the agreement. Wally argues that under the UCC statute of frauds the agreement is not enforceable because it is not in writing. Aquine Machanical Watches

...advice which to evaluate. The final recommendations for Aquine mechanical watches are as follows: upgrade the timing machine, upgrade the poising machine, and to buy customized movement holders. Those are the best options for the company after finding the reasons the watches were not passing the SOCC certification. By buying customized movement holders and upgrading poising machine the problem fixes the horizontal and vertical positions, a big factor in the watches not passing the SOCC tests. The timing machine helps the watch makers control the accuracy of the watches while assembling upgrading this machine also makes sense. The watchmakers will help in the quality control of the watches because hiring a whole department of people to perform quality control will not at this time be sufficient because of funding. Watches were failing three tests: horizontal and vertical difference, maximum variation in rates, and mean variation in rates. Applying upgrades to the poising machine and timing machines will decrease the chances of Aquine watches failing the horizontal and vertical difference tests as stated earlier. The reasons for the decision are to lower the rates at which the watches declined by the SOCC. The SOCC tests are crucial when trying to have the watches certified and sold as chronometer watches instead of just mechanical. Although Amanda wants to see waterproofing added to the watches that in the future could be a profitable idea, but at this time does......
